In a way its good cos watching with ppl who arent into it begins to frustrate me because they dont get what they're watching on my level and i get tired of explaining **** cos i cant enjoy it properly.

Living in europe i enjoy getting up in the middle of the night with a beer to watch the fights.

Now that you guys remind me. The last fight I seen with a large group was Pac vs Clottey.
These fights were bad luck and also were Two fights that have been labeled " thrown" fights.

You have to stand your ground and leave that post up there!

When I'm on line reading or posting about boxing, my girlfriend makes me feel like I'm chatting with " Jake from State Farm".

None of my close friends are boxing fans. To get my fix, however, I've always worked out at local boxing gyms. The guys there are universally nice and everyone can and does talk boxing. These days I am fortunate that "my" gym is Wild Card and I'm there three times a week - mostly to work out - but also to watch sparring and talk boxing with some really knowledgable guys.

I have 2 friends who follow it a bit and boxed themselves but they aren't hardcore like me. They will know any fight which has even a tiny bit of hype about it.

It doesn't really matter though, I can keep it as my own guilty pleasure.

The only person I know "into boxing" is a Mexican-American coworker of mine who comes up with incredibly deep, insightful comments after Mayweather fights like "yeah well he didn't want to fight [Canelo]. That's how those (looks around to see if the coast is clear) ******s fight. None of those 'brothers' can fight. That's not boxing." You can imagine how little fun it is to discuss boxing with a racist imbecile.

I actually just remembered that his son, who also worked there for a time and was a weird, quiet little near-******, posted on his FB leading up to Floyd-Canelo that "Floyd is a horrible fighter." Yeah, I'm not a Floyd fan, but that was just too dumb to believe.

Well if any of you lonely nerds actually belonged to a boxing gym you would have plenty of people to school your sorry azzes on the sport.

We had a chain of boxing gym's called LaBoxing here for a while that I used to frequent. Recently they got bought out and they are all now UFC Gyms and they seem to be getting a lot of traffic so far.
