He is 5' 10 1/2 according to Boxrec. Look at face to face pictures between him and Hopkins, who's 6' 1". You can easily see just about a 3' difference.

Camacho? Camacho's claim to fame was running away against Rosario. He was fast, k? Castillo would've run him out quicker than Rosario would've.

Taylor's win/performance over Buddy McGirt ****s on any individual win/performance Casamayor has.

Rocky Lockridge was a better fighter than Joel Casamayor.

For the record,,, Chavez beats the hell out of casamoyer..

Dude went life and death with frietas, Castillo and corrals,,, Chavez beats all of them and beats them badly...

Mofo are sleeping on Chavez,,, watch Chavez 84-88 and he would beat the hell out of all the guys mentioned without a doubt

It's laughable how ****** some of the posts are on this thread, and some even come from solid posters

          Maybe.

But Not a better style than Casamayor for Chavez, and doesn't exactly specialize in elite southpaws, or else Don King would've put him in with his boogeyman earlier than late 93.

Regardless, I just don't see what a prime 5'7", 66" reach Chavez, no matter how great, could do to such a strong, powerful, strong chinned, well defended, 5' 11" De La Hoya with mid 70s reach. I just don't see it

DLH would always be too big, too strong, too powerful, too technical for his size. It would just always be a slaughter and i;m not buying the whole "Chavez was too past it to gauge anything". All I need to see is the size difference, along with the special attributes of both fighters, to see that P4P, prime vs prime, DLH would always crush Chavez.
Overrating De la hoya a little too much. He lost majority of his big fights man.

What crack are you smoking.... Chavez would wipe the floor with casamoyer no doubt... Dude struggled with corrales, Castillo, frietas,,,, Chavez at 130-35 would beat the hell out of all of them

Don't try and use sweet pea as an example,, sweet pea is leagues above a casamoyer

                  84-88...let's see.

                  Rosario - 5' 6" - 66"
                  Lockridge - 5' 6" - 67"
                  R. Mayweather - 5' 7" - 72"
                  LaPorte - 5' 5" - 68"
                  etc.

Yeah, he destroyed them, so he destroys a prime De La Hoya at 5' 10" 1/2, 73" reach, strong chin, deadly power, underrated defense. Mhm.

Sure, the Superman 84-88 version of Chavez destroys just about any one, no matter what.

I don't care who he struggled with Chavez didn't beat anyone as good. If Castillo was a chump, Chavez would've kicked him out of camp in the early 90s

                      Agreed.

                      Chavez would beat that ass."

He sure would. If Roidquez and Bradley did it, Chavez Sr. would KO him! FACT.
