    No he doesn't.

Mosley was another guy who was just too tall, too fast, too powerful, had an iron chin for Chavez. I can honestly say it wouldn't have even been competitive for long. DLH and Mosley vs Chavez are just stylistically too much in relation to their size. Chavez was too short, had short reach, and although he had good defense he just wouldn't have enough defense on top of Mosley and DLH being too fast for him.

IDK why people have such blind favoritism to 80s and 90s fighters even with the facts that DLH and Mosley were just too good, too powerful, too fast and too big for Chavez. And no way Chavez was going to even KO them or outbox them.

I've seen this a few years back. I know Mosley was still a kid here, he was a teenager.

By the sounds of the crowd yelling "Taylor!" I'm guessing he's getting ready for his fight with Meldrick Taylor.

It's Chavez Sr's job to work only on his weaknesses against that style, and just be comfortable in there with that style.

I've seen tons of sparring footage of guys only working on their weaknesses, and letting the other guy go to town on them.

You'll see tons of sparring sessions where the guy that's getting ready for the fight is only working on certain aspects during a certain sparring match. Like head movement, timing, spacing, foot work, etc. This is probably a case of that.
OK? Does Chavez have a better win than Casamayor?

Whats your point here? Shane looked excellent? Youd think on this place he was a come forward bum.

I don't if you base your whole opinion on him being viewed as a "brawler" or if you've really seen him fight, and I'm not talking YouTube highlights.

Chavez in his best years beats the **** out of Oscar and Mosley. He had great timing and a great inside game . It was remarkable to see him roll punches and had exceptional head and waist movement. For such an offensive fighter he was great defensively and rarely took any punishment in his prime. Offensively he was every bit as skilled in the manner in which he controlled distance and set up his punches with different variations. Every punch he threw had a purpose he was simply a highly skilled fighter whose skills are overlooked because of his aggressive style.
          Well said!!!

You seem to place a big emphasis on physical attributes yet both guys lost to smaller men in their careers.

              Hector Camacho and Meldrick Taylor.

I don't get what you're trying to say. I'm saying you can't judge that video, because it's a sparring session.

I only watched a little bit of the beginning. If you were trying to say that Chavez was a beast, then yes, I completely agree with you.

You're only heaping praise on De La Hoya and Mosley because Mayweather beat them. And well passed prime versions of them. And he barely beat De La Hoya. Get Floyd's d**k out of your mouth.

you don't think prime for prime Chavez could beat Mosley at LW?
people piss on Mexican guys here and typecast them as sluggers
Chavez could box, he had inside game and movement
Mosley was lethal at LW but only against so so type guys
Chavez could outbox him, cut him off, and break him down
you're talking like Chavez was a plodder
Mosley wouldn't get owned but Chavez could definitely beat him
Oscar is a tougher match for Chavez than Mosley is
1st fight ended because an old cut was reopened quickly
by then he mighta lost anyway, but not in a blowout
and prime Chavez doesn't quit like he did in the WW rematch

Taylor wasn't as close to being as good as Casamayor, he'd stand still and get wrecked.

Camacho? Camacho's claim to fame was running away against Rosario. He was fast, k? Castillo would've run him out quicker than Rosario would've.
