As for the fight, Hopkins masterfully broke him down over 12 rounds what more you want?
A rematch would have gotten him more money. Hopkins declined it. No, one did anything to Hopkins. Kings lined them up to beat Hopkins but Hopkins beat them. Why should Hopkins be mad at King, when King tried to make Hopkins a start but Hopkins could not perform consistant. He would look great koing someone and in his next fight its a boring display of boxing. Can't anyone tell me they seriously enjoy the first fight between him and Roy Jones Jr? Tough fight to watch. Hopkins could have performed better had when he was younger had he not forced himself to stay at middleweight for so long. But he's had a great career that many respect. But, if you too take a closer look its interesting.

and thats why to this day I say that people can talk about the Floyd-Pac fight all they want and to a lesser extend the Bowe-Lewis fight but maybe the biggest missed fight to me is the Hopkins-Jones rematch after that. Hopkins was prime and Roy was still fighting at a high level. I still think Hopkins gave Roy the hardest fight of his career beside Griffin until the Tarver fight.

A rematch at SMW around that time wouldve been special, especially when you consider what we know now in that Hopkins went straright to 175 and looked great so that tells you he wouldve had no problem filling in at 168 at that time. I think he wouldve made Roy work for everything at that point. You have to favor Roy but it damn sure wouldnt have been easy. It was Hopkins fought for the fight not happening though. Too much ego. You have to give Roy 60-40. That was definitely fair

they block the left hook with there right glove, not the left

He intentionally blocked that Tito hook, it's like he knew Tito would throw it and anticipate him throwing it, blocking it and then countering with his own right hand. It was a genuinely beautiful move by B-hop.

DLT, check out some Ezzard Charles that guy was badass with his sly moves.

And for great combo punchs Joe Louis. A while back on youtube seen some Joe Louis vids i never seen, i think he was in his prime and it makes sense when people say Joe Louis the best Heavyweight ever.

Back to Hopkins, imo he's a skilled fighter but its tougher to do the same with fighter his own size. He should not have lost Jermaine Taylor and not because Taylor is a bad fighter because he is not, Taylor would beat him anytime they fought.

IDK about that. I think Taylor deserved both wins unlike some others do but I also think Hopkins had outgrew the weight. Look at how he looked in his very next fight at LHW. Hopkins is a big guy. He was a freak to stay at 160 that long

B-Hop game plan was off the charts I knew Tito was going to KO him but he beta the brakes off of him he used the Oscar game plan with a better jab and stamina.

Hopkins was as dedicated as Mayweather is to staying in shape and not allowing his body to throw him at 154 for the remainder of his career.
