Why are so many people so high on Rigo?

He is a damn good boxer and in those small classes a superior boxer like that is going to be very effective. He is a cool customer and he is pretty much always doing what he wants to do in the ring so there is a lot to like from a boxing sense.
What I still don't like about him is he drifts at times, it is a disease of the talented he is so good that he loses focus. I remember people dogging him during his early fights because he wasn't really killing the guys, but I said at the time guys that can't test him are not Rigondeaux's wheelhouse he will win but he will never look like the best guy against that sort but better guys who can keep his focus is where he will shine.

Really? Really? Usually when you're a GOAT amateur, and turn pro and school a top 5 P4P'er without breaking a sweat, people will agree you're the goods.

Here is the fight from the knockdown. Show me where he holds on for dear life? Right after the "knockdown" Rigo gets up and Blasts Cordoba with a massive left hand, then proceeds to fight like Rigo.
If you are easily swayed by Jim Lampley being an idiot, then you might have thought that fight was close, but it wasn't. Cordoba didn't deserve a single round after the knockdown.
Rigo fought very negative, yes... thats how he fights He controlled every second of the fight, even in the round he was "knocked down". It was a knockdown, but it was on off balance one, if you watch the replay, the shot caught Rigo when he was stepping and he lost his footing.
Cordoba deciding to come forward, and Jim Lampley pretending its a big deal, doesn't make it so. Rigo won the fight easily.
I have watched this fight 4-5 times now and just because the announcers think one thing, don't care.

114-112 Cordoba.Rigo ran and slapped all of rounds 6-9. He threw one big punch in Round 6 after going down. He ran and danced most of the rest of the time.

But let's not forget that that was his 6/7 pro fight and first one truly on the big stage on the Pacquiao undercard in Cowboys stadium, so that could have been nerves! Since that fight I have to say, if you can't acknowledge the guys ability then you're a funking moron!
In terms of pure skill the guys only peer is Mayweather, he made Donaire who was a consensus top 5 p4p fighter look like a rank amateur with no business in the ring with him! And to compare Agbeko with Rico Ramos is disrespectful, he was a top bantamweight and a very good fighter who had a habit of making guys look bad!
People say that Rigo is boring... So ****ing what, does that mean that Ward and Mayweather are boring as well!? Everybody loves a good blood and guts fighter like Ruslan or Kirkland, but if you're a true boxing fan you also have to concede to pure skillful boxers like Rigo, Mayweather, Lara or Ward!
And let's be fair the guy can crack when he wants to, if a guy opens up to him like Casey then he'll be taken out! Unfortunately it seems that when guys see that they are not hitting him and he's throwing back those straight left hands then they have a tendency of going into a shell, just like Agbeko did! I think it's unfair to blame Rigondeaux for that!

Rigondeaux hasn't even fought a world class aggressive fighter yet. We don't even know how he reacts under pressure.
I won't dispute that Rigondeaux is excellent but these claims that he's unbeatable are ridiculous to me.
He has plenty of flaws from what I see.
I've seen people say H2H Prime for prime he beats Pacquaio. I don't understand how you can say that at this point.

The talent is undeniable. The flaws also (except for his d*ck riders)
Lack of opposition , lack of fans , lack of network interest. Lack of offensive game. Rigo has work to do. Are there any elite fighters that he can face????
Can he do more than just potshot??

El Chacel stinks out arena...HBO is doing the right thing
A paycut is not good enough for this Nyquil inducing athlete ..I hate to say this (actually I don't because he sucks on live TV) because again I'm a purist but there are limits to even a purist..he is boring.
He needs to be punished until he changes his style and approach to boxing. You know he should be punished...because he knew what was at stake especially after the ridicule he received from the fight he had prior and Arum had to pull out all the stops to get him this date and he still delivered the same boring performance.
Even with the fans booing, he didn't care...he already got our money and said to himself "I'm going to fight my boring style and win"
Sometimes it isn't about just winning, it's about how you win especially when you are fighting an opponent not in your league.
Punishment is in order, let him fight off US television until El Chacel and his moronic manager realizes that fighting on HBO is a privilege....NOT A RIGHT!!!

Obvious not THAT many people are "high" on Rigo (As you can see by most of the post in here). Heck, HBO is even refusing to show him on TV. Arum doesn't want to get him fights.. So how are "so many people high on Rigo" Seems to me that whenever a """""Slick""" fighter makes a little noise """Slick""" haters always want to cry about it..
