rigo i think lacks the offensive versatilities but that makes his game unpenetrable....

but im with some who think he needs to be tested by good fighters with other styles ...

By your logic, who deserves to be in a p4p list? Nobody I guess.

Pacquiao was knocked out by Singsurat and Torrecampo, does it mean that he is a chinny, limited bum who never belonged in any p4p list?.

Realistically, I don't see so many fighters that can be rated higher than Rigo in a p4p list, as things stand.

Apart from Mayweather, who's there right now?.

Ward has a case, although he's been rather inactive due to injuries.

      Pacquiao?
Rios was a decent win, a good one considering it was a comeback fight after a K.O loss. Respect for Pacman , but being 1-2 in his last 3 fights doesn't help his case.

      Klitschko?
Are his wins over Wach, Pianeta and the absolutely unwatchable Povtekin fight worth of recognition?.
If Rigo schooling, ouboxing and dominating Donaire was 'boring' , I don't know what adjective you'd want to use for Klitscho vs Povektin.

      Bradley?.
Pacquaio, Provodnikov and JMM are good wins on paper, but even though I like Tim, nobody in their right mind can say he dominated either of these bouts.

Who else is there? Danny Garcia?.

Any way you spin it, I don't see how Rigo doesn't belong in a top 10 p4p list at the moment.

114-112 Cordoba.Rigo ran and slapped all of rounds 6-9. He threw one big punch in Round 6 after going down. He ran and danced most of the rest of the time.
You should never watch boxing again if you actually seriously thought Cordoba won 5 of the last 6 rounds, and are not just being a troll.

P.S. He was just awful vs Cordoba and should have lost 114-112. He ran and stopped fighting after the knockdown.
Lost? No chance I can agree. Looked bad? Sure. He's still paying for how he handled that situation and anything that resembles it since. He started clowning in the fifth round, came apart in the sixth and started running a marathon. Rigo's problem, like a lot of physically gifted fighters, IMHO, is that he's fallen so in love with the flash and the human sportscar stuff he has a hard time "going back to basics" or employing certain boxing basics and fundamentals when things aren't clicking. He uses his legs when he's trying to re-divine his superman routine. He's not wanting to piss people off or embarrass himself. Poor guy.

WHY NOT? He made a P4P fighter look out of his league and as far as pure SKILLS GO...yes Donaire is not close to being in Rigondeaux League but he knew that already which is why he never wanted that fight in the first place

I have not been overly impressed with Rigo, sans the Donaire fight.

Rigo won that fight and looked pretty good. He was down on the canvas and got back up. Donaire wasn't busy enough and Rigo gave him a boxing lesson.

              BUT...

I have also watched Rigo lose to Ricardo Cordoba and hang on for dear life in that fight. He was given a SD win. I scored the fight for Cordoba.

I mean Casey and Rico Ramos are solid pros but not elite or upper world class by any means. Maroquin and Abeko are good good B level pros but they've lost every step-up fight that they have had.

Fighting solid guys is good/very good...but not top 12-15 P4P good.

Rigo may become a top 10 p4p guy in the next year or two. He has good skills, great amateur backround, and shows flashes of brilliance. But alas, he is not a tv friendly fighter (?yet) and will have a hard time getting the big fights that he needs to prove his "greatness" against these fighters without the big tv money.

What is your opinion of Rigo?

              Top 10 P4P?
              Top 15 P4P?
Somewhere inside the Top 20 P4P?
I'd say top ten. Certain people have a hard time understanding his style... i don't blame you.

He is very skilled and controls a fight great, but he is boring as Wlad, in their own ways...

They gave him hype and kept it up, but when I think of it, he prefers to not engage unless he has to, like most counter punchers. This gets boring after a few fights.

His training clips look more exciting than his fights. He's very agile and fast on his feet.

Donaire to his credit chances fights even though he looks ****. He is better at countering but has looked terrible recently. Some say 30 is an age where small guys fade, and it may be a case for him.

You think the open gloved slaps and running won those rounds? Maybe you should watch MMA where dudes get KO'd with jabs then. Learn the sport..

Because he's probably the most technically gifted pure boxer today.

You may think he's boring (i do too) etc but you gotta appreciate his skill.
