I'm not sure how the WBA rules work. But Lara is their #1. But, Floyd is their super champion. My understanding is that the #1 is the mandatory to the regular champ and the regular champ is the mandatory to the super champ. Their regular title is vacant at 54. So I'd assume Lara would have to fight somebody for that vacant belt bfore becomingg Floyd's mandatory. And eveen if he did. The WBA isn't gonna force Floyd to do anything. But I could be wrong.

Zuz can be a lil excessive with it at times. But he, like myself and other critics of GGG talk about him fighting bigger guys because he's been hyped as the most feared guy and willing to fight anyone from 54-68. And he changed his tune when Ward came calling. Even though GGG's fanboys will swear Ward is just giving lip service and as "scared" as everybody else.Comment

Part of the legend of GGG is that he made Kovalev quit in a sparring session. If he can make him quit with headgear and big gloves. Sounds like Kovalev would be risking certain death fighting GGG with no head gear and 10oz gloves.
BTW, if Floyd can fight a middlewight. Why can't GGG fight a light heavy?
Oh yeah, how do you manage to fit race into each and every GGG post that doesn't deep throat him like you constantly do?
2. Floyd CANT fight a middleweight, that's why he won't.
3. That zuz guy was saying GGG needs to fight an "A fighter" and then goes on to name light heavies. Ward gets to pass over them and still gets props but GGG who's even lighter, needs to skip to fight them? Double standard, and considering the racial bias he and others like him (you, Stax, brandish) - yes, that shows racial motivation.
drink this while GGG cleans up at 160

I'm not a Floyd fan, but a GGG fight makes no sense for Floyd. For what?
Not at this stage in his career. Some fighters might want to go out in a blaze of glory fighting everyone and anyone. This isn't the case with Floyd. And him fighting a middleweight with punching power, in spite of his boxing skills and speed, is no bueno - not that I'm predicting who would win. I see TMT picking their next few matches very carefully.. however, IMO that fight would make a lot of money.Comment

Loaffler is claiming that Quillin is supposedly "HBO approved." If this is the case, then at least as far as it concerns the middleweight division, the cold war is no issue. It's an opponent issue. If they're approving the likes of Andy Lee, they better approve Lara.Comment

This isn't true. HBO turned down Stevenson vs Bernard Hopkins which not only was a unification bout but huge ratings. HBO simply does not work with Golden Boy. Tom is surely incorrect and Quillin is not on any HBO list.Comment

Yes, we should. Unfortunately, Floyd isn't a jr middleweight for one. And he only touches that division when there's a lotta money to be made. And a Lara doesn't bring any more to the table than Khan or Maidana. And actually, he brings less. So he's just not worth a trip above Floyd's welterweight comfort zone.Comment
