As far as sizes go, it is nothing Mayweather hasn't faced before. I'm sure HBO would allow for that fight to happen. It's a great opportunity for Golovkin and he could come back to HBO a bigger star because of it. I remember Floyd mentioning Sergio Martinez as a potential opponent, why not Golovkin?
    Huh,

Maybe can crushing machine without balls Gennady Golovkin should finally start facing big guys off north 160/175 instead of spudding light middleweight stiffs and calling out a welterweights?

Triple duck got the balls to fight light middleweight cans but lacks it at all to face a guys above.

    What a joke he is.

He likely will vacate the belts @ JMW. And even if he does vacate, it won't change your opinion that he should face Lara.

        2. Floyd CANT fight a middleweight, that's why he won't.

        3. That zuz guy was saying GGG needs to fight an "A fighter" and then goes on to name light heavies. Ward gets to pass over them and still gets props but GGG who's even lighter, needs to skip to fight them? Double standard, and considering the racial bias he and others like him (you, Stax, brandish) - yes, that shows racial motivation.

drink this while GGG cleans up at 160
I can't speak for the others. But me wanting to see GGG go ahead has nothing to do with race. Its based solely on me being ready to see if the hype is real. Not only that, but I know that the top guys at 60 all have better options at the moment, and are likely to stay away from him. Which means him fighting crappy competition until the others are rady to play ball. And finally, the willingness for him to fight at 68 came from his camp. Didn't come from. Didn't come from Zuz. Didn't come from anybody outside of his camp.

At the end of the day, you're a fan of his. You already believe the hype. Therefore you're content on just watching him win, regardless of who its against. That's were you and I differ. I'm an Adrien Broner fan. Would it been a wiser career move for him to stick around and clean things up at lightweight? Absolutely. But he was being hyped as the next superstar. So me, being the type of guy I am. Was like "f.uck it." Throw his ass in there with the sharks and let's see what happens. He dared to be great and wasn't. No sweat off my ass. I'm still a fan of his. But I'm a fan that's happier now because I KNOW he isn't special. You don't seem ready to face that potential reality with GGG. All good lil homie.

Cotto is a natural 140/147 but when he fought Floyd was at 154, he was considered "big" and a full size jr middle. And you can bet that Floyd is praying for him to beat Sergio so he can fight him at 160 and claim that lineal title.

Smaller men have been fighting bigger ones for a very long time. No one is above this fact.
Miguel Cotto is not a natural 140/147 guy. He walks around a bit heavy naturally. Even Freddie Roach said he came into training camp for the last fight in the 170s.

So if Lara fought his bro Chocolate and wins the belt, only then will HBO be willing to broadcast the fight due to it being a UNIFICATION fight?!?....according to smooth talking Tom

Can't sell bull**** to those who know the prices....gtfoh, Hopkins vs Stevenson?!?....nuff said!!

Kirkland wants Nelo but I think he burned that GBP bridge....why is it cool to fight Kirkland but not Ward?!?....I know for a fact that Ward is way better than Kirkland....don't make sense to me.....these cats are mad strategic when it comes to matching GGG

They have not said no to Ward, and in fact it's a fight that appears to be building for the future. Right now GGG is wanting to clean out the 160 division and I see nothing wrong with that. His focus is on getting a Martinez fight (should he beat Cotto) in the fall. In the mean time since he won't wait around until then he's looking at opponents for April and in the summer, which is why Kirkland's name along with Geale have been brought up.

Ward on the other hand needs to settle his dispute with his promoter first. Until then he won't fight anyone.

They sound mad when they say Floyd should fight certain dudes above the WW limit....they try to justify it by him winning a few straps and fighting above the WW limit 3 times outta 40 plus fights.....Swift has more WW fights than Floyd have at JMW....GGG has had more fights over the 160 limit than Floyd has had over 154 but GGG should fight Floyd and not Ward....when they say Lara should fight Floyd, it's just desperation!!....some cats are dying waiting for Floyd to go "Broner".....that obsession got them sounding mad tbh

Hopefully GGG gets to shoot for the prize at 160 later this year. Failing Maravilla getting made GGG has to get at least 1 of Geale, Murray or Sturm (or Quillin I suppose, but that's even less likely than Sturm), preferably 2. At that point, I'd consider he no longer has an excuse for not moving up.

In, fact, I feel Golovkins team should already be looking at gatekeeper / contender level fights at 168 - nothing that should really require a substantial weight change, but perhaps something to put a marker down.

You are a GGG nuthugger it is pathetic! Can I ask you a question? Was Adama a bum ass fight for Golovikin? cause to date I have never heard you say anything remotely bad about him.
