Uh no, not a big difference. HBO Isn't paying Pacquiao 50-60 million dollars per fight as Showtime Is Mayweather. It's no coincidence that Mayweather fought Canelo In his next fight . Don't you think It might have had something to do with the failed Guerrero PPV?

He fought Canelo because the time was right for the PPV. Despite your "expertise" Golden Boy and Showtime have guys who get paid to determine what fight they feel would sell the best. It's obvious that at that time Canelo (who came off a huge win against Trout) was the right guy. And it showed when the fight sold 2 million PPV's.

And yes it is a big difference when HBO's biggest PPV attraction sells half of what Showtime is doing.
Showtime, a network that doesn't have the budget or audience that HBO has.

I love how Roach is concerned about showtime losing money, when his main guy is busy losing money for HBO fighting against a depleted TR stable. How many sales did Pac's last ppv generate? 400k?

475,000 buys x $59.99 = $28,495,250

Let say 30% bought in HD = $1,425,000

Around $30M revenue in ppv + Macau Live Gate less pac $18M & $4M rios + around $2M for the undercard.

Bottomline : Top rank did not lose money
