Let say 30% bought in HD = $1,425,000

Around $30M revenue in ppv + Macau Live Gate less pac $18M & $4M rios + around $2M for the undercard.

Bottomline : Top rank did not lose money

You can take that 30 million in PPV revenue now and chop it in half, as the promotion only gets 1/2 the ppv take. The rest goes to the PPV distributors.

Now they may have made enough off the live gate and overseas revenues to cover the costs, but I doubt it was a money maker.

I do think it will be kind of interesting watching how GBP tries to sell this fight. I guarantee right now they will be heavily banking that Amir can get the British peeps to buy, or it will be a financial disaster. I guarantee there are many closed door meetings right now between Showtime and GBP, with a lot of numbers and much concern being shown. Floyd is boxings biggest draw, but he cannot do it himself, he needs a proper dance partner.

Hence the reason for signing Floyd to a multi-fight contract.

They knew there were going to be some PPV's that were not going to sell as well as others. The fact that in 2 PPV's Mayweather sold around 3 million PPV's tells you they're being successful.

And the fact you're saying 800-900K PPV's is a failure, is ridiculous. That "failure" as you allude, doubled the numbers Pacquiao just did. So if Guerrero/Floyd was a failure what was Pacquiao?

Pac doesn't get a guarantee from the network but his promoter. Network losing lots of money is more far reaching
