Why do some posters keep saying Floyd should fight GGG or Martinez at 154?

You've never weighed more than 3 lbs lower than the limit and come to the ring 4 lbs lower then you've only fought there 3 out of 45 times and in your next fight you're returning to the weight class lower I don't think that's really your weight class.

Dude you give Mundine as an example! Who has he fought man?

Vazquez had a few fights at 147 and I don't even know if he fought at 140 but he's an established 135lb champion. My scenario had to do with an established top level fighter that goes down and he's still successful after being at a higher weight for years. I'll wait, otherwise I'm done with you because you can't give a reasonable answer.

Have you forgotten it was Floyd himself who said he'd be willing to fight Martinez at 154 and when Martinez said he'd love to come down in weight Floyd shut up?

Oh and the best fight the best, it's like how people spoke about Hagler/SRL for years and years, ww champs have fought mw champs continuously throughout history.

Yet another reason why: because Floyd is counted as THE MAN at 154, so if one of the leading mw champs wants to come down to YOUR weight and fight for YOUR title...what's so wrong with that?

Why stop there with GGG and Martinez?

Andre Ward said he'll drop to 154 lbs to fight Floyd too.

There aren't very many examples though are there.

And both of the examples you've used came in multiple Lbs lower than the weight class they were campaigning in and gradually came down any way.

Do you have an example for a fighter going straight from a weight class they've been at for an extended amount of time then going straight to a lower weight?

Even if you do they're exceptions more than rules.

Sergio never said he could make 150. Go home J the biased you're drunk.

I don't know what fight fan wouldn't rather see Floyd/Sergio-GGG at 152-54 over a Khan bout. No one is against it. We're just not going to sit here and pretend like the fight can be made.
