He wasn't fighting guys that needed to move up to fight him. He'd meet them from 147-160.

    The good ole days
Just who would have wanted to fight at 147 a guy who is Height: 6' 1" (185cm) in height and has a reach of 79" (201cm)?

I'd agree if there wasn't talks of having another guy move up in weight to fight him. Kirkland. If fights ain't being made, then keep looking for other avenues. Don't be at a standstill

Yup, I guess he is. I forgot the part where Ward was fighting guys with no shot against him.

I see you tend to get a bit defensive when it comes to GGG. My answer to you is simply that not many WWs did. That's why Paul went and fought in other divisions to avoid being stuck in a division no one wanted to fight him in

Another no nothing wannabe the expert on the sweet science talking out his a*s*s! Why is it that the chumps who have never had a real fight, let alone laced up the gloves and stepped into the ring to put his life on the line, are always the ones claiming that someone is fighting a tomato can! I boxed and anyone who laces up the gloves has my respect, some more than other but nevertheless I respect anyone who steps into the ring to put his life on the line in this sport. Until you do the same you won't know what it's like! And spare me the BS and don't try to come back with some bs that you box because if you did you wouldn't be talking out your a*s*s then! Off to bed now son, I think your mom is warming up your milk! "peeleft:

If Golovkin still can't get fights by 2015 then he should just move up.
Funny you mentioned Hagler, who was avoided for years and after he finally got a crack and won, still had to wait a long time for the "Names" to move up and fight him.

Its pretty clear that those who want him to move up simply want him to lose

Paul Williams was a pure phenomenon in boxing... The guy was at least a LHW... One cannot compare Williams with other fighters -- it's pointless...

Quillin is tied to Showtime, but with Golden Boy trying to rebuild that relationship with HBO, it could be a way to get back with HBO. A Quilling/Golovkin fight.
Keep dreaming pal while Golovkin pumping up his fake record.

It's not about Ward, we're talking about fight legit opposition finally.

The guys is like 32 yo got 10 title defence.... against who?

                  jeez

Carlos Monzon. The list goes on.
Well Hopkins should have moved up well before he got to 20 title defenses.

Monzon and Hagler had no 168 to move to.

Yeah agreed but once he got his shot he got fights.

Golovkin can't even get a shot. If he still can't get a shot he should move on.

If he get's the shot, by all means stay.
