So everyone is "ducking" him at 160 and they said they would fight anyone from 160 to 175. But Ward called their bluff and they come out with **** like "GGG is a star" and "no reason to move up."

I completely agree. Why change weight classes when you have so many title unification opportunities in your current and natural weight class. If GGG could unify titles it would be a great accomplishment. Then he should consider going up in weight. Whatever happens in the next weight class, no one can take away his accomplishments in the middleweight division. However, if no one wants a GGG title unification bout at middleweight, then IMO the appropriate and logical thing to do is to move up. He has his career to think about, but his fans and boxing fans also have their expectations and hopes for say, a GGG/Ward

He doesn't have to fight Ward in his first fight at 168. He's been fighting mediocre to average competition at 160 for years and no decent name at 160 wants a piece of him. Why not fight a similar guy at 168 and test the waters?

Based on some of these post, I don't think some people realize the issues with putting on weight and taking off weight. When GGG puts on weight to move up in class, it should be to stay put for some time. Not for a one-time GGG/Ward clash. Why move up in weight to see someone then come down for unification bouts?

Hearn just said that Golovkin is one of his options for Carl Froch...

If he get's the shot, by all means stay.
I'm figuring GGGs got about another 15-20 fights in him over 5 or 6 years I'm kinda OK with him hanging on for another year or so (4 or 5 fights) to try and get one of the other MW strap holders or 1 or 2 top Contenders (like a Geale or Murray) in the ring, but at that point he'd really be left with little choice but moving up - unless some very significant talent emeges or moves up from 54.

It also wouldn't hurt to look at some of the second tier SMWs in the meantime - a Vera for instance, Gonzales or Periban - fights that shouldn't really ncessitate him changing size much.

No way Marquez-Pacquiao 5 will ever happen.

Juan won't fight that top rank fraud again after they've robbed him already a few times.

                    Yeah I agree.

If he still can't get fights into 2015 then there's no point staying at 160 and wasting time.

Floyd's proven himself throughout his career and can only be challenged by going up in weight. GGG hasn't even become lineal at middleweight yet. You want a guy whose only opposition at 160 has been less than mediocre to fighting an elite super middleweight who's p4p#2?
