Comments Thread For: Testing Still Being Negotiated for Pacquiao-Bradley

And what penalty would it be besides a fine? Bradley clearly said that he didn't know who they would be going with. You are choosing to disbelieve his words though. That's only because Marquez was acting like a biatch in regards to OST. He wants USADA, VADA, NSAC as long as Bradley has a rehydration clause.
Bradley uses VADA, Pac used VADA... this negotiation isn't about that, it's the penalty for failing which makes perfect sense.
NSAC's OST/random drug testing was just as good as VADA's. And Marquez went through with it and tested clean. And we didn't see his knockout and knockdown power this time. Bradley also saw for himself that NSAC's program was good.
If it is really about penalties, then NSAC's program would make even more sense than using VADA (who does not recommend or try to enforce sanctions). VADA only give results. NSAC is the one that enforces penalties like suspensions. It would make more sense if they did it.Comment

So it looks Pacquiao will in fact let the commission do their job.
tim wants vada n bob says in nevada they prefer commision testing, here we go again #boxing

Presumably, they're talking about the random NSAC testing they used for Bradley-JMM.Comment

Random drug testing is not year-round. Random drug testing is just randomly done within a giving window, whether it's within a week, a few months, or an entire calendar year.
But you can argue that OLYMPIC style testing is really year-round random testing. And you can argue that it's pointless to have it in boxing just for training camp. But I disagree. I think it's effective. It's not the best or most ideal, but it has it's purpose and is DEFINITELY better than doing nothing.
One fight that didn't have random drug testing, we saw a guy almost get murdered by another guy. Next fight, there is random drug testing and suddenly that guy with murdering power doesn't have it anymore. But hey, you can believe it's pointless. I think it's only pointless if the opponent is not undergoing the same thing.
They didn't change it. They do in-competition testing and out-of-competition testing. It can be one of the two, or BOTH.Comment

I hope Bradley sticks to his guns and gets an independent agency like VADA or USADA to oversee and handle the testing. But he doesn't have much leverage, if Pac and Bob don't want it then it's not happening.Comment

this makes no sense. other than to bring attention to the fight why would Manny not go with VADA testing? HBO and Team Manny have made a huge deal about VADA.So it looks Pacquiao will in fact let the commission do their job.

Why is Manny and his team always invlovled in things like this that make him look guilty or su****ious when it isn't necessary?Comment

Thanks for posting that. This is exactly what I was predicting -- NSAC's random drug testing program.Comment
