people don't realize that in boxing winning isn't enough. yes we all know Rigondeaux is a great boxer and yet he doesn't connect with a large portion of the fans. why is that?

it's because Rigondeaux doesn't take risks. very few fans like to watch a one sided sparring match. it's boring. Rigondeaux is content to get the UD when he should be using his superior skills and try to get the KO. yeah it exposes him to more danger but also adds a little uncertainty to the fight when makes it exciting.

you don't always need a KO but it's the uncertainty that excites the fans. Rigondeaux doesn't allow that to enter his game.

you can't blame Arum or HBO because they gave him a big push but the ratings are there. Kellerman basically said fans are ****** if they don't see his greatness. they've tired to push Rigo but when his fight had the LOWEST ratings in BAD history you know he won't be headlining. so don't expect Golden Boy or Showtime to be able to change that.

Rigo is an undercard fighter. he's great but not a star and won't be until to starts taking some risks

Guys who think like Arum are ******, we are not talking about is Rigo a ppv fighter, we are talking about should Rigo be televised by HBO, of course yes !!! You speak about entertainment etc, in a ppv ok, but televised or not a top3 p4p isn't even a question...
Arum is a bum who don't know **** about boxing

Bottom line he's a great boxer that brings no entertainment value and in return is a bad business investment.
HBO's job is.to get ratings. Arums job is to promote his fighter.

It makes sense for HBO to criticise Rigo, it doesn't for Arum

Yes well let me see you own a store..one product brings in a ton of foot traffic and the other one while pretty to look at costs more but doesn't bring in much foot traffic which product would you line your shelves with....that's the issue people don't get. Rigo doesn't bring numbers even on HBO..HBO is a business if a business isn't getting a good turnover on the product it's showcasing it gets rid of it. End of story.

            Drop arum!!!

Arum is such a crook. Who cares if he doesn't appeal to the boxing masses? The main point is that he is the champ for a reason. Just like with Mayweather, if you don't like his style - find somebody to beat him. Rigondeaux' money will come regardless what douchebag Arum and people who don't understand what "The Sweet Science" stands for say. Does anyone think that FMJ's fans are all on his side? I'd say a large majority of them want him to lose, hence filling his pockets constantly with their hate money lol. I say keep doing what you do Rigo - it's obviously keeping your 0 well in tact. Also, drop Arum and move to TMT where you will be appreciated.

Bob understands? Laughable. Bob has been in on the smear campaign against Rigo from the very beginning. He's been leading the charge. "Understands" my ass.

Rigo should file a defamation suit against Arum. Its really getting out of hand. He is HIS promoter. I've never heard Arum say a single good thing about Rigo, much less try to promote him.

Winning a defamation suit requires one to prove that a false statement was made with malicious intent. Since everything Arum said was 100% true (like it or not), I'm not sure how you think a defamation suit would succeed
