Cotto tried his best in that fight...and still lost 9 rounds to 3 and almost got dropped in the 12th.....no shame in that at all but is that his claim to fame???

Those wins are better than Gatti's and he got in on the first ballot. Are you arguing whether he deserves it or whether he's actually going to get in on the 1st ballot?

He doesn't need the lineal MW title to be a first ballot HOF. That's more than secure. I'd bet my account he goes in on his first ballot.
Most of those aren't good wins, Urkal? Gomez? Foreman? Margarito? None of those wins are meaningful.

Judah, Clottey and Malignaggi aren't particularly wins either.

You should read the conversation before you post on it . That's not what we're talking about.

Didn't Gatti just get in? His resume is better than Gatti's. Are we arguing if he's deserving or actually getting in? Two different debates.

I don't care about the hall of fame its just a comedy act these days, my issue is that you noted meaningless wins as if they mean something.

Read the thread idiot it says "if" he was the best. Cotto's praise comes from him fighting the best and willing to fight the best. Not cherry pick, retire, and come back with excuses on how to avoid others. Cotto is the type of fighter boxing needs. If only all fighters were willing to face the best in their prime like he did and continues fighting the best.

I mean Cotto didnt even want to fight Floyd in his prime. Cotto wasn't ready after he saw his boy bruseles get beat down. Don't believe me go watch the fight yourself
Sergio is decling but hasn't lost in a while. Manny us decling and was ktfo a lil while ago. Guess what Cotto is still moving up to fight Sergio while Floyd is still making excuses to not fight Floyd. That's the difference.

Cotto is forced to do what he is trying to do..he is at the end of his career and wants to cash out...nothing wrong with that at all..but lets not act like he is some king here...dude is 1-2 in his last 3 fights, has no title and is still acting like a damn diva
So since Floyd economically doesn't have to fight PAC, it's ok to u ??? Such a great fan u are.
