lol I caught that, too.
Teddy spoke about how the ref was out of position, and that they need to train refs to handle those situations correctly. Basically, Atlas's stance is that Barthelemy did what he was supposed to do and that he shouldn't be penalized for it.Comment

I haven't heard anything on that, did he comment on it? You, me, russian, or anyone else having an argument on whether it was possible he didn't hear the bell is pointless, of course its possible. I didn't see the interview though so I'm not even going to address that.Comment

Another guy who's never had a real fight....
You must think the cops can just shoot guns out of people's hands, too. Just like in the movies, huh?
I saw the vid, kid...multiple times. Barthelemy was late, we've already established that. The KO punch didn't land two seconds after the first bell. It was no more than one second. Completely reasonable.Comment

What's he supposed to do, be opportunistic even if its against the rules?Comment

He was way out of position . I watched it like 8 times . The bell was about to ring and he literally jumped back two steps and walked around the fighters to break it up. It was bad. He could just went forward and got there a lot quickerComment

Human reaction time just doesn't work like that anyway. A fighter in a championship match, surging with adrenaline as he smells victory, isn't likely to be looking out for the sound of the bell. "Oh, my God, I sure hope I don't foul him!" What Barthelemy did wasn't right, but it's understandable...reasonable. The ref thought so, and so did Teddy Atlas.Comment

Well the only other option is that he intentionally threw a late hit in a fight that he was gona win , or he couldn't hold back the punch right?Comment
