I understand boxing is a business...but it's also a sport.

    who wants crap fights?
    nobody.

who recognizes that fights are not put on because they're "good fights," but because they make money for corporations [TR, GBP, etc] and fighters in the long term?
    smart people.

if you're going to cry about boxers and promotors making money, then you ought to cry about business people and workers making money off of everything else. you're going to be doing a lot of crying.

want boxing to just be about pleasing fans?

Pretty much this^^^^, and the more reason why I just laugh when I see poster going on the "I don't care, am not getting paid, I don't want to know the business side of it" like it makes them more of a fan of boxing.

Like you pointed out nobody wants crap fights period!

Sorry, no, I am not having this. I am not listening to one of the most idiotic, biased posters on this site trying to come off as a boxing moralist.

What next, Ducketts telling that Broner should be humble like Pacquiao?

          **** off.

Better yet work for free while someone is attacking you trying to render you unconscious while actively trying to stop you from doing your job.

Imagine how fun accounting would be if IRS agents came out of the blue throwing blows while trying to prepare someones taxes.

              Deep thinking involved hereabove...

(Usually a "crap fight" generates money before it actually happens -- hence the fans' contribution to "crap fights" that sell...)

I'd like to know how much more Floyd makes fighting Khan than he would Lara. Cause he's making bank either way. That's a fact. It's not like he'd be fighting Lara for free. Like some people wanna act like they don't make bank no matter who they fight, lol.

Would Khan actually generate more money than Maidana?

I'm not so sure he would.

why do you think the business changed lol.fighters are still the exact same, its the purses that are different.if 1 loss could make you potentially lose out on a few million their would've been alot less fights and risks back then also
