I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting your horse to win. We all do it. What I have a problem with is when people refuse to acknowledge that the other guy's horse is better.Comment

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Mares is on the level of Morales when it comes to being a man and letting your balls hang. No excuses about who, where, or money. Just name the time and place, and he'll be there to fight. If you don't like dudes like these, I don't see how you can call yourself a fan of boxing.
Hes a "breath of fresh air", in this era of boxing. Sadly, that has to be said in this day and age of "I can't fight him, hes my bff.".
Dude doesn't care about that. Watch the interview after the PDL fight. "We're friends, but I want to beat him too".Comment

lol Great example...and one I can totally relate to. For years, I hated Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz (as ballplayers); but I always acknowledged their greatness and respected their abilities. No racism but I never root for Mexican fighters. I'm Puerto Rican so the rivalry is the reason for that. It's like being a Yankee fan and rooting for Boston, not going to happen. Lol Abner Mares though is a hell of a fighter. I kinda, sorta make exceptions for him cuz he's one tough vato.Comment
