Mares is one of the most honest boxers out there. Doesn't talk crap about his opponents, yet tells it like it is. Wears his thoughts and feelings on his sleeve. Most other fighters is like - oh I don't know I have to sit down with my team and family. Or oh I leave that up to my Al Haymon and my promoter, my job is to just fight. This fool tells you when, where and how.

Not trying to slander Pacquiao just saying he literally have no power, which is sad.

I got Mares by LOW BLOW KO <3rds!!! That cheat fugg! Got exposed by Gonzales and got nothing for Rigo.

Rigo tags that asz and Mares ducks and runs for the rest of the fight with a high guard after he gets a taste of El Chacal's power and speed.

Dont people notice the reaction of all Rigo's opponents? They all get hit, feel the power and run for the rest of the fight with a high guard literally fearing for their life's! lol!

Maybe because they tried to make the fight with Donaire and top rank wanted nothing to do with it and he was offered the fight with Ponce. It's laughable that you would even suggest Mares is scared of Rigo. When has Mares ver ducked a fight? That's why he has one of the best resumes in boxing and Rigo is stuck fighting his leftovers.

It's not just that. The TR/GBP cold war prevented Rigo-Mares from happening. It's just one of the reasons why I'd like to see Guillermo go over to Golden Boy.

He didn't fight ONE 122lber.....I don't think he even called out rigo when he had his bogus 122 wbc belt...and he didnt beat the #1 guy at bantam when he was competing there..and he low blowed his way to winning that mediocre bantam tourney anyway...i hope gonzalez KOs him again and he fades into obscurity like Juanma Lopez...

Mares vs Morel was kind of weak for a title fight, but we've seen worse. The win against Moreno was still a very solid win even if it wasnt at 118. A lot of people thought he was going to get out boxed. His wins in the bantam tourney were solid as well. It's not his fault Donaire wasn't in the tourney. You can say what you want about what does done in his career. But the fact remains Rigo and Donaire have both gone on to fight guys he already beat, while Mares has moved on to fight bigger and better fighter lately.
Rigo is a great fighter but he's old and the the current rate his career is going he won't have accomplished ****. Mares is still young and shown his willingness to fight anyone. I don't see how you can hate on a fighter like that. But to each their own.

Mares has a great attitude , sorta like a throwback fighter. He's willing to take a loss in order to test himself against the best. You have to respect that ! If all fighters had this mentality boxing would be a much better sport. I would love to see rigo , mares , Santa Cruz and Kiko Martinez all face each other at some time and think they could all be exciting fights. If bob doesn't make an effort to help rigo there is plenty of fights with Gbp . All rigo has to do is hold on to those belts and have fun letting everyone try to take'em !

Donaire beat darchinyan long before mares did....and Gonzalez was a shop worn and past prime fighter...mares better go back to his low blowing and fouling ways because it seems he can't win all that well without it...
