Maybe because a far less skilled version of Frazier (dereck chisora) gave the superior klitschko (vitali) fits so imagine what would happen if the brothers fought the real thing. Joe would smoke their boots on the same night.

I gotta 3 way tie with Ali,Louis, Marciano. Angie Dundee( Alis longtime trainer) has been quoted many times as saying he would've loved to see that fight but he didn't see it going the way for his Ali. Marciano hits like he had bricks in his gloves and he's a brawler just like te guy who gave Ali his Trilogy ( Frazier) . The only reason I do t have Marciano as outright #1 is bc he was a victim of his time and didn't have a lot of Hall of Famers to fight like Ali did. Louis is there bc his activity ( how many fights) and reign as champ is unbelievable but like Rocky not too many greats in his time

Terrible poll. No love for John Sullivan?

Oh yea? Is that it? Did you somehow ignore the fact that Chisora:

          A) Outweighed Frazier by 30-40 lbs.
          B) Was highly motivated for his first world title challenge.
          C) Lost wide on the cards even though Vitali was injured early in the fight and still won a wide decision.

Good post, while Marciano has a limited resume, I happen to think he would have been a great style matchup for Ali. His power was unreal for a 190 lb man.

How about Gene Tunney? He's on the WBC title for crying out loud.

Just one of Liston's KO's against Patterson is miles ahead of any win of a Vitali Klitschko's.

To all the fools who voted for Marciano.

Ali, of course; but I think H2H, Lennox gives him a tough fight.
