These Cubans make me laugh. They think they're better than they actually are, they think they're worth more money to the networks than they actually are, they think they're more popular than they actually are, and they think their style is more appealing than it actually is. Drama queens.

How many thousand seats can Rigo fill if he fights in Miami?

Rigondeaux's team is just as pathetic as he is. Networks and promoters take notice of this though, they will make sure he doesn't get more than a spot a year, and maybe. He'll get shunned into the land of the forgotten soon which I have no problem with; he deserves it. You risk nothing, you win nothing.

            3. Stop turning down $350K purses and accept fights on Pacquiao/Zou Schming undercards
            4. Travel and take on champions from Europe, Japan, South America, etc.
            5. Stay active (3-4 fights per year)

GGG does plenty of off-network title defenses. Nothing wrong with that.
Good plan. I especially like step five. 33 years old and fighting twice a year? Not so much.

There is not enough cuban boxing fans in Miami...

The solution is to fight on the westcoast us Mexicans will pick up the slack and support him

That Cuban guy Fernandez just won rookie of the year for the Marlins and no one cares....it seems that they only care about Lebron and the heat during playoffs....

trust me I was in Miami when Rigo fought Donaire....

              NO ONE CARES

I laugh at the rigo fan boys that blame agbeko for the fight being boring by saying that agbeko didn't do anything or throw any punches. Shouldn't that be an even bigger reason for rigo to open up on him and try and blast him out of there!? Rigo is the one trying to make a name for himself and remove the "boring" stigma associated with his name. He had the perfect opportunity to do so last sat and didn't jump on the opportunity. Excellent boxer. Bad showman.

There wasnt much promotion to it but the Kirkland fight had much better ratings and a decent crowd, which left after his fight and the ratings dropped.
