Actually plenty of people wanted this fight and no, Maidana is a welterweight. DeMarco was a lightweight who hit like a lightweight. Maidana hits like a truck.

Maidana was the last person i wanted them to feed to Broner, because he doesn't have quickness or reaction time in the ring. He JUST found out about a jab, and got schooled by an old ass, fat version of Morales. He won, but he looked like ****.

Broner's gonna work this kid. Yeah, he has power, but power doesn't mean ****, when you can't take back body shots, and you're gonna get discombobulated (woah, spelled it right on the first try) on the inside.

Yeah, you and Maidana fans. This was the only fight that was available, because of Lucas/Danny's match up, and you know damn more people wanted Thurman than this fight. Even Ortiz was a better option.

First round will tell all. Whether hes another Berto or a poor mans Berto or if he can be special. I want to see if he can actually. I want to see what happens when Madiana hurts him or if he can walk right through him.

Deleon made Broner fight a scared fight bit he has improved but I think hell play it safe unless he sees an opening

Broner is going to defeat any fighter who's plan of attack is to fight him on the inside including Maidana. Broner's movement is going to be minimal, just to reset and give Marcos a different look.

Adrien is going to allow Marcos to work on the inside... and use his defense to effectively block and counter Maidana's attack. Marcos' best shot at winning is to stay at mid-range and work off of his strong jab and try to employ a high guard. If he tries to work on the inside, Broner is going to pick him apart en route to a dominating decision or possible mid-late round stoppage (depending on how much damage the ref/doctor/Garcia allows MM to take and if Broner goes to the body often enough).

After the fight, people will continue to degrade and discredit Broner's opposition until...

He's been touched up in every fight I've seen him in only this time he is facing a guy who actually has power. Broner should win this but I think he'll do well early and fade down the stretch due to Maidana's power and pressure....controversial SD for Broner.

In reality the style that gives Broner problems is boxers/movers. Some of us been saying this since the whole Gamboa/Vazquez vs Broner talk started. Everyone argued it and we saw what happened vs Paulie.

With that said, Maidana is normally made to order for Broner. But what has people intrigued in this fight is that they don't think Broner can hurt Maidana due to him not bringing his power up and that he's actually fighting someone his size or close to it that can punch.

Also, people wanna see whether Maidana will test his chin or not and how will Broner take it.
