Is Broner going to be mobile?

Talking with a few people about the Broner/Maidana fight this weekend and people are under the impression that he is going to outbox and move around against Maidana. Im not sure if this will be the case.. I have a feeling hes going to fight his usual style in the pocket.

What do you guys think? Are we going to see a different Broner this Saturday night or more of the same. Not sure what to expect.

What determines if someone is able to move around and box or not.. Its clearly not age with some fighters and they have lost their legs or mobility.. Andre Berto for example doesnt move around much what is the reason for certain fighters not boxing more? is it just a matter of them never learning? Certainly athletes who have reached pro status must be capable of learning technique and have the ability to move/box.

This is a question I can't wait to see answered. Because I think he'll have to be, atleast if he wants to have no trouble.

If he attempts to walk straight to him then I think he'll have some issues.

He said in an interview recently that he doesn't have to stand toe to toe, that he choses to and can move if needs be so we'll see.

He's gonna stand in the pocket and counter the **** out of maidana. Then proceed to walk him down after 5 rounds. None of that running **** will occur. Man to man in the pocket. Maidana gonna get hurt.

I don't expect Broner to fight much differently than he has in the past. He doesn't have great footwork or footspeed. Maidana shouldn't have any difficulty finding him in the ring, but stylistically I think Marcos is pretty clearly made-to-order.

The only questions I have are whether Broner's power at 147 is enough to bother Maidana, and if not, can he withstand constant pressure from a guy he's unable to faze? I expect Broner to win, but I am curious to see in what fashion.

If he feels Maidana's power, he might run.

Broner can stand toe to toe with Maidana and KO him. Maidana has been down and before from punches to the head against Ortiz and Lopez, and against Khan to the body. Also he hasn't looked all that impressive against Alexander, Karrass, and Lopez.

I'm hoping for an upset but will be expecting a TKO for Broner.

I don't think so. He looks very uncomfortable when he's on the move, especially if it's the opponent who's made him move his feet. That's the challenge for Maidana. Broner won't be moving unless Chino makes him do it.

Yea, I think a lot of people are waiting for the same answer.

Not trying to compare Rios to Broner but Rios also claimed he wasnt a "punching bag."

Also, theres a difference between being able to move and doing it effectively. You would expect someone as athletic as him to be able to do so but who knows. We'll see indeed.

His old man legs are garbage but fortunately for him he won't need them. He will turtle up and wait for Marcos to walk straight to him so he can unload. He could literally win this fight without stepping two feet out of his corner.

Broner isn't that athletic. He looked really slow against Rees, PDL and Paulie. But Maidana will make him look fast though.
