i think so .. maidana will be the hardest puncher he will have fought bar none and if he did not stand in the pocket vs ponce , i dont know why he will vs marcos...
id be really surprised if he stands in there with marcos...Comment

you make it sound so simpleTalking with a few people about the Broner/Maidana fight this weekend and people are under the impression that he is going to outbox and move around against Maidana. Im not sure if this will be the case.. I have a feeling hes going to fight his usual style in the pocket.
What do you guys think? Are we going to see a different Broner this Saturday night or more of the same. Not sure what to expect.
What determines if someone is able to move around and box or not.. Its clearly not age with some fighters and they have lost their legs or mobility.. Andre Berto for example doesnt move around much what is the reason for certain fighters not boxing more? is it just a matter of them never learning? Certainly athletes who have reached pro status must be capable of learning technique and have the ability to move/box.Comment

THIS FIGHT WAS FORCED ON US.
Stopped taking you seriously right there.

As soon as he tastes a Maidana right or even a jab, Broner will probably try to grow some movement... But he will be made less comfortable doing so as he is clearly most comfortable with his stand and counter or walk down style. I think it will be hard but Maidana is as relentless and durable as a guy like Provodnikov. All heart and pride and destruction by war of attrition. Broner ain't ready for a tough fight. This gonna make ponce look like a cakewalk. And anyone saying Chino is like Demarco just makes me laugh. Maidana will eat some leather to land his own, and Broner will not be prepared for the power or relentlessnessComment

They are on a collision course. Maidana will be tempted to fight Broner mano e mano, and that will be his down fall.Talking with a few people about the Broner/Maidana fight this weekend and people are under the impression that he is going to outbox and move around against Maidana. Unless Maidana can rock Broner early, he is going to get his ass beat.
Broner can move which is a mistake his critics make in judging his style. They do this on purpose.
Broner's problem if anything is his punch selection. He's not a looper. What I mean is that all of his punches are straight, and you can avoid a straight puncher. Against a moving target, Broner can cut the ring off, but his punch variety and selection needs work. This showed against Paulie. Maidana ain't got none of that in his style. When he's hit, he fights, and Broner is willing to go toe to toe.
Maidana doesn't have a chance imo.Comment

I think so, but it'll be subtle movement turning Marcos so he can't set his feet to throw with power. I think Marcos will be ready for this and try to get him to the ropes or corner. I'm hoping for Ortiz Berto 2 with Broner getting a controversial decisionComment
