Unless Maidana can land those right hands to the body, or get in close and rough Broner up. Otherwise, it unfolds as you describe it. Maidana will be standing straight up in front of Broner and will be getting caught with spectacular shots.

Not trying to compare Rios to Broner but Rios also claimed he wasnt a "punching bag."

Also, theres a difference between being able to move and doing it effectively. You would expect someone as athletic as him to be able to do so but who knows. We'll see indeed.

Yeah it's true, fighters say a lot of things it doesn't always mean they can do it.

I think he's going to have to show me more than he has so far to have an easy time this weekend. Not saying he won't win because I do think he will but if he comes in doing the same old Broner then I think he'll definitely have some issues.

Can't wait to see his chin tested aswell especially with the whole 'mouth hanging open' **** he does.

I always said that broner reminds me of a poor mans version of a young james toney,,,

I actually think broner doesnt have the footwork to evade maidana, just like toney was never a good mover,, both relied on defense and standing in front of guys and beating them up ie demarco fight,,

If broner is the goods this will look like toney-barkley

This is broner's defining moment of his career,, if he wins- he is the goods, if he loses-you know he was hype

Cant wait to see this fight because it will answer all of our questions,,

and for the record, i like broner by decision,, I think he finds his groove in about the 4th round, and then proceeds to beat maidana to the punch and survives some scares but wins a close close decision

Maidana's only hope is if he can handle Broners power well enough to walk through it and get to him with constant pressure. I just can't see it though since his punch resistance has seemed to get worse over the last few fights. This won't be Floyd vs Gatti level of destruction but I expect it to be close.

I don't think he can really fight going backwards. He's best fighting off the front while stalking.

He's not as skilled as people think. A lot of his ability is in his reflexes and speed.

So most people here are saying he is going to stand in the pocket and counter and have a fairly easy time with Maidana. But judging from his last few fights (paulie, the British bald guy) he also isnt that hard to hit himself so are we assuming that he has a iron chin? or his defense is going to be better? because Maidana definitely hits a lot harder than his last few opponents

                  I agree.

Is Broner's defence going to drastically improve overnight?

Because as far as I can tell, Maidana's going to hit him.

Im not totally sold on maidana's power,, yes he has good pop, but he didnt finish khan, or alexander

The only time maidana looks like a big puncher is when he is in some wild fight with lopez or soto karass, but anytime faced with a guy not willing to slug it out "mexican" style, maidana has a hard time

Not saying broner has the ability or chin to withstand maidana's assault, just stating an observation about maidana,, he doesnt look his best when facing skilled fighters

Not sure if broner is skilled enough but we are going to find out

This right here. Broner doesn't move well, at all. His shoulder roll is not effective and it's not fitting for Broner. He doesn't ROLL punches. He just gets punched in the ****ing shoulder. He has poor foot work and won't be able to keep Maidana off him
Let's not forget Broner was fat as **** just a couple months ago, All Access Mayweather Canelo. I think Maidana is hungry, corny I know but he seems hungry.

Broner was looking like **** against Paulie and there's an argument Paulie won that fight. He didn't look like a 13:1 favorite (Broner)

I think Maidana stops him late.
