Canelo isn't a big star in the states and the way he fought against floyd didn't win any casual fans over either. Canelo vs lara or molina will bomb big time if they put it on ppv. He's good but he's being way overhyped as a star that he's not. He's a star in Mexico and amongst mexican boxing fans. Not an international star such as Oscar floyd or pac.

I think Canelo should fight Carlos Molina on regular Showtime on March 8th and get that I.B.F. belt. That's a win. If you think Molina will win, you're on some good drugs. And no, they won't need to rob Molina. Canelo is just better. Then on July 26th, I'd put him on PPV against Demetrius Andrade, but with a loaded undercard. I think a title unification and a loaded undercard will be able to get decent PPV numbers. Like Molina, I have no doubt Canelo would beat Andrade too. Then, Canelo would be the unified I.B.F. x W.B.O. champ heading into a November 2nd PPV. And at that point I would go with an exciting fighter like Miguel Cotto, Victor Ortiz, or Alfredo Angulo. If Canelo could snatch those belts from Molina and Andrade, and then beat a popular all-action fighter like the 3 I mentioned, Canelo's stock would be sky high again. Then I don't think Floyd would mind getting another super payday in a rematch with Canelo.

would cotto do good against Molina? would he do 500,000?? he did half of that against a better known fighter in mayorga,250,00...cotto against Floyd did what 1.5 million? canelo/Floyd did over 2 million..yeah it's so obvious canelo won't sell that much against Molina but neither would cotto or anybody else

Canelo-Molina wouldn't actually be on PPV, mark my words. Just like Broner-Maidana didn't end up being PPV.

But Canelo would get mad respect if he took that fight and won.
