Molina will get robbed if it goes down. The same way GBP found a way to DQ him vs Kirkland.

with all do respect it was molinas corner who got him dq and possible save him from a ko, the rules reads that if a corner jumps into the ring before the bell rings the fighter is automatically dq, he was hurt and tired from all the holding and 3 rounds to go, didn't look good for the hugger
Ref wasn't thinking about DQ'ing anybody till the GBP representative started saying something.

He was the bside on the biggest selling ppv in history and is the most popular mexican fighter in the world. do you think anyone other than floyd and maybe manny has negotiating leverage over him?

im talking about how he went from giving team cotto a dead line to respond to a back up options molina. before the floyd fight he was making demands like "i want floyd only", etc. now aint nobody gives a damm about his demands.

It had more to do with Angulo's style and strategy that night, Lara is wide open for bodyshots and is not great at keeping his opponent at bay. Angulo used non stop aggression which made Lara look bad, Canelo is a different beast, he's more patient which would help Lara a lot.

So how come Mayweather wasn't DQ'd against Judah? Because the referee has to use his own discretion.
Beside angulos non stop fighting style the phone booth, slow mat and rehydratation clause (only for Lara, angulo could had balloned to HW, actually he was a LH the night of the fight) it only helps a brawler like him and maidana, the fraud-judah fight was a disgrace because according to the rules he was supossed to be dq... And imo the dq help molina more than kirkland, the only one that was down and hurt was the mexican and he was very tired, kirkland seems to had catch his second wind and was coming on strong while molina was winding down, at the end we were robbed of a convincing victory for either one and molina went to fight for a title against one of the weakest champ in all of boxing...

Let me remind you Cotto made 250K vs Trout according to ESPN, so whats your point

In any case why they had to jump in before the end of the round?

Bro, in that moment how can you possibly remember every rule of boxing? They were just worried about taking care of their fighter. Is not like they went in and snatched Molina from the ref before he finished the count.
