I would love to see Canelo beat the s**t out of Lara. Canelo is as strong as Angulo, if not stronger, definitely faster, has better defense, is a better counterpuncher, and definitely more accurate than Angulo, and look what El Perro did to Lara. What does Lara bring to the table though? NOTHING. Lara has no belt (No, I don't count his "Regular" or "Interrim" or whatever belt he has), no fans, and brings no excitement (All he does is run). with all do respect it was molinas corner who got him dq and possible save him from a ko, the rules reads that if a corner jumps into the ring before the bell rings the fighter is automatically dq, he was hurt and tired from all the holding and 3 rounds to go, didn't look good for the hugger

Even if Cotto gets destroyed by Martinez he would still be a lucrative opponent for Canelo. Look at Judah, how many times did he get beat up? And yet he keeps getting high profile fights against GBP fighters.

It had more to do with Angulo's style and strategy that night, Lara is wide open for bodyshots and is not great at keeping his opponent at bay. Angulo used non stop aggression which made Lara look bad, Canelo is a different beast, he's more patient which would help Lara a lot.

So how come Mayweather wasn't DQ'd against Judah? Because the referee has to use his own discretion.
