I think someone posted a video a while ago that shows Garcia thumbed Lucas to cause the swell.

To me the biggest question going into the fight was can Garcia take Mathysse's punch. And he proved he could. And was just the better fighter.

I read in an interview Garcia said he'd give Morales the rematch cause he was the first dude to really give Garcia a shot. I can't knock that, although I didn't want to see a rematch either. Seemed like a stand-up thing to do IMO.

I don't really feel it was ''clear cut'' he got the nod but that was because of a knockdown which should not of been called. If rightly called then Lucas takes the fight by 1 point on two scorecards.

Any other ref would of probably disqualified him for those low blows.

Well if the lowblows was accidental then he must have extremely poor accuracy considering how many he also hit Khan, Morales & Theophane with. In fact his accuracy does suck, he barely hit Lucas with anything but lowblows in the first half of the fight.

He was very fortunate that night.

But about this excuse... Maybe it was Matthysse that was on the A-Side Meth aka Methylhexaneamine. It's funny, the last two bouts before Garcia, he destroyed the guys with one punch. Then the first time he had to do random drug testing, he wasn't able to repeat that. Couldn't even daze Garcia. I wonder why.
