I wouldn't mind a rematch but not now. Lucas needs to get a decent win under his belt to make things more worthy never the less contemplating retirement. There was no indication in the fight at any moment that suggested that Garcia was ever hurt, wobbled, nor stunned and it's the Matthysse that was destroying everything in his way, so credit to Garcia's chin. Fair play and no excuses from the Matthysse camp so kudos to them he'll bounce back.

Both guys were much more tentative and tactical in this fight than people were expecting. Clearly the eye injury changed everything, but that's not Danny's problem. I do think Matthysse did very well to come so close to winning the fight after that happened, especially when you consider what a sharp counterpuncher Garcia is on the inside.
Regardless of the dodgy knockdown, the swollen eye etc., the one thing that really undid Lucas was his hesitancy in the inside and his failure to punch with the opponent. Obviously Danny's a tough guy to do that with but Matthysse too often fell into his bad habit of waiting for the other guy finish before going to work himself.

I think I agree with you, though, it's more likely that Danny is better in the rematch and wins more decisively than it is that both remain the same and Lucas wins.

I'm not even a Garcia fan really, though I hope he does well, he's a young american fighter who's undefeated, and underrated.
The guy who has "nothing but a left hook" took that hook, defeated the big bad Lucas Matthysse who'd kill anyone in the history of the world on the same night, and parlayed all that into contention for fighting Mayweather.
Danny is the man
