Chris Byrd was ranked & so were a few other's before Lennox like Donald & Hide was ranked & had the WBO belt....most of Vitali's comp early on wasn't the strongest but if we took most past great's comp early on it's a who's who of nobodies as well... Vitali was the ONLY one to do what he did.. koing 27 straight & Deontay has surpassed it regardless of how week the opposition was so stop singling out Vitali when most other champs started out with least resistance also but couldn't do what he did every time out.

Dominant means dominance regardless of resistance.. the definition NEVER changes.. only your perception of how it was attained.

Didn't Hide fight Bowe Before FIGHTING Klitschko.. didn't Byrd come off the Ibeabuchi fight... Donald also had fought Bowe... ranked means top 50 or less.. set the criteria for ranked before you start gloating as ranked can mean top 100.. & we also know what Klitschko did to the ranked #1 so please stop.. Klitschko destroys a top 1000 or a number one... opposition never mattered to him.. he's all equal opportunity when it comes to the beatdowns he's administered.. look at all the ranked fighters he's destroyed after Lewis... please stop.. 47 fighters regardless of rank have never sought out a repeat bout with him.. that's all you need to know about how they thought they would fare in a return bout with him.

The discrepancy in the ones that are posting favoritism for the brothers doesn't reflect that as they are being intimidated.. it's more like 10% who are actually defending them & that shows cowardice on the part of the posters here.. unfortunately they don't want to be ganged up on.

As each era in boxing passes there are peaks and troughs in the level of competition - highs and lows - so the champions of each era are often viewed through the lens of the "quality of opposition", and their opposition is directly compared and contrasted against the opposition of champions from other eras.

Through this analysis, there are champions from one era who couldn't be considered to be in the same league as the champion(s) of another era.

So where do you place the Klitschkos - are they among the "worst" champions of all time, among the best champions or somewhere in between?

The question started out with a false premise. Your poll options are quite good but the question should have been, "Are The Klitschkos Some of The Best Heavyweight Champions Of All Time?", and proceed from there. If you disagree then vote that way.

"they could one day be considered ATG fighters" is a misnomer. They are already ATG's, just not GOAT's.

"average boxers in a devision devoid of A Class or even B Class fighters." This statement would only be true if they consistently squeaked out split decisions in competitive fights against these B and C class fighters (not that all of them are B and C, that obviously is Western nostalgia hyperbole). But since they dispose of these so called "bums" 90% of the time in the same dominant fashion, then they by definition cannot be average. They're doing what they're supposed to do against these perceived no-hopers, displaying clear superiority.
