Emanuel Steward has created a monster. I voted "average" because Emanuel's so-called blueprint would've failed against the versatile HW greats of the past.

If Cus D'Amato, Eddie Futch and Jack Blackburn were alive and training heavyweights today, the division would be a lot different.

Agreed. These guys have given up on solid fundamentals to rely on size.

                  wladimir doesn't have solid fundamentals?

the main issue in the division is a lack of talent in the fighters, not the trainers. wladimir klitschko was trained by emanuel steward, one of the best ever.

He doesn't use them. That wasn't the point though, I'm talking about the division as a whole.

As each era in boxing passes there are peaks and troughs in the level of competition - highs and lows - so the champions of each era are often viewed through the lens of the "quality of opposition", and their opposition is directly compared and contrasted against the opposition of champions from other eras.

Through this analysis, there are champions from one era who couldn't be considered to be in the same league as the champion(s) of another era.

So where do you place the Klitschkos - are they among the "worst" champions of all time, among the best champions or somewhere in between?

I placed the klinchko`s among the greatest because they dominated there era. There era is not as strong as many other era`s but is not there fault, and they have beaten some solid opposition.I just find the Klinchko`s very boring to watch just like Larry Holmes, but they`re legacy shouldn`t be only judged based on they`re era supposedly not being strong as other era`s or because they are perceived as being boring.
