Not enough time to get accustomed to Steward. But his next fight against Brewster was July 7, 2007, so he had over 3 years to get comfortable under Steward's methods.

It wasn't fair on Brewster in my opinion, Wladimir may well have lost the rematch if Brewster hadn't been injured in that way and laid up in a hospital bed for that long..

106 - 5 = 95.5% success rate
92 stoppages = 82.9% stoppage rate
560 rds fought = 500 rds won = 90%
87% of all Klitschko W'S are BORING stoppages!
They've been knocked down 11 times.... opposition have been knocked down 80 to 90 times.
Former champions all trail in most or all of the statistical categories mentioned above & are desperately trying to hold on to there legacies by there supporters by unsupported claims that the past greats fought way superior competition.
Almost half of these rds were fought in title fights. 111 fights & ONLY once have they ever been outboxed or outslugged & that was a duration of 1.5 rds.Last edited by KBRO; 12-02-2013, 02:48 PM.

Brewster could have two extra eyes & as long as Klitschko carries his asthma spray... he'd still wouldn't have won a rd.

there's been many many weak champions in history so theyre certainly not even close to some of the worst but theyre not the greatest either. id put them above average overall espescially wlad but they have also had some of the most boringest defenses ( also wlad) in there careers

Originally posted by F!x View PostPossibly Klitschko would have beat Brewster even if Brewster hadn't been injured, it's not impossible, but there is no denying that Wladimir specifically targeted Brewster when he knew he was injured and inactive. Make of that what you will.. But Brewster's injury was basically the reason Wladimir wanted to rematch him..

It's not a measure of greatness per se, no. But it shows you how much interest there is in their fights. But you are right though, if they were american they would have probably been one HBO ppv once or twice.
The fact is if they were American or British, they would be adhered too by the Americans or Brits, respectively.I don't hear of the British press singing the praises of either Ward or Hopkins.David Haye was to be on PPV and his title fights at heavyweight have been nothing short of embarrassing to say the least,to the point that Sky had to cancel PPV indefinatly, until Carl Froch reinstated it with gutsy, exciting displays with stoppages versus Lucian Bute and Yusaf Mack, had it not been for the careful plotting of Hearn and Froch,Fury and Haye would not have made PPV,it is simple.
This debate is farcical, due to their nationalities they receive an unjust shake, its apparent and evident.
Andre Ward's fights are horrendous to watch yet he is on HBO,Bernard Hopkins is on Showtime, both pay pay view right ?
RTL have a 15 million 5 fight deal with K2,thats 3 million a fight unless I am mistaken, those figures must be close to that upon which either Klitschko would receive from PPV if they were screened in the Uk or States surely.

The Klitschko's combined have defeated 17 undefeated fighters = More than 15% of there entire opposition.
They were the first to STOP more than 20 opponents who never were stopped before = Almost 20% of there entire opposition got ko'ed for the first time & most of them were Never ko'ed again!Last edited by KBRO; 12-02-2013, 03:20 PM.
