As long as i've been watching carl froch has earned my respect. He's a road warrior & fought the best. Calzaghe was never a topic of conversation when talking about the best fighters. Really nobody knew who he was until he started fighting 40 year old americans. Joe was only big in britain. His WBO belt wasnt even recognized as a world title for most of his reign. Kessler was a great win but he was at home. Froch fought the best in the world. Joe fought the best in britain & europe...Comment

Pure nonsense. Calzage fought everyone at super middleweight except Sven Ottke. And the fights with RJ and B-Hop came late. But when RJ was ruling light heavy, Joe was ruling super middle, and B-Hop was ruling middleweight. Calzage was a bigger draw in the Europe than RJ and B-Hop were here. And the fights would have been bigger and made more money in Joe's backyard than they would have been anywhere in the US. So exactly why was Joe obligated to come here to make those fights happen? To my knowledge, you can catch a fleight from the US to Europe just as same as you can catch a flight from Europe to the US.As long as i've been watching carl froch has earned my respect. Froch's confidence didn't make him the easiest to like among American fans including myself. However he was a special breed. And I agree with the poster who said that the only men who probably would have beaten him of recent times are a prime, 168lb Roy Jones Jr and Andre Ward.Comment

You've got to be kidding me. Froch had to come off the deck to beat a shot-2-hell Jermain Taylor. Arguably lost to Andre Dirrell. Lost to a shot Mikkel Kessler. And went life-n-death with an even more shot version of Kessler. Froch isn't special and it doesn't take a once-n-a-generation talent like RJJ or maybe the current heir apperant P4P King o beat him. Hell, Grooves just beat the hell outta him and got jobbed.Froch's confidence didn't make him the easiest to like among American fans including myself. However he was a special breed.
