Yes...Joe's game is much more sophisticated than Froch's...H2H Joe beats Froch up imo...but that doesn't mean Joe has the more impressive resume or legacy....Froch is not on Joe's skill level but it's a testament to Froch that his legacy vs Joe's can spark a grand debate....with only 12 world title fights....Joe almost doubles that with his defences....quality over quantity though

Froch would really struggle with Calzaghe's style, speed and adaptability. UD for me everytime.

Froch's resume is better than Calzaghes at smw though. If Froch's moves up a weight and becomes a champ he surpasses Calzaghes whole resume imo.

Why didn't he then? If I remember rightly, Joe decided fighting someone who (according to Joe's very own autobiography) had been KO'd too many times (Roy Jones) meant more than beating Froch. I think Calzaghe would've won but boasting from retirement means less than doing it for real. Froch can at leat say he faced the young lion (Groves) rather than thumbed his nose at him from a distance.

            Different situations...

Groves was Frochs mandatory when it was a fight that made sense.

Froch was Joes mandatory in April 2008... Who would you rather fight, Froch who at the times biggest win was Reid or a mega bucks fight against Hopkins, whose resume was and is excellant.

Also Joe was struggling at the weight for a while so was moving to Light Heavy anyway.

I always wonder if people look at the time line of this.

He retired, its not that hard to understand, theres always going to be somebody calling a fighter out but they have to stop sometime. You are delusional if you actually believe Calzaghe was afraid of Froch especially at that time. Don't get all sooky because Calzaghe retired undefeated.

                Enzo on Calzaghe v Froch

Enzo seems to overlook that Froch is that rarity, he will fight anyone.

What is missing from his 11 title fight resume are soft touches, and complete

                unknowns.

The only "what if?" is, what would have happened had Joe given Carl a shot,

instead of giving that shot, to the shell of Roy Jones.

Wow everyone and his dog are out to kick Froch right now. Give him some credit... he came back from a brutal KD that would have finished most fighters, got totally schooled for 7 rounds and through sheer bloodymindedness he clawed a victory out of nothing. Its not his fault the ref jumped in too early.

froch might drop joe, because frankly, who didn't?

froch would end up wandering around the ring eating shots, though. calzaghe was way too fast. that guy had real speed, and he threw a ton of punches.

froch's best strength is his gas tank and chin. joe had both of those things too, and a style that would win the rounds.

easy UD for joe. ther'es no way he stops froch, but he'd dominate him on the cards.
