Don't see where he's implied that.

And it would be somewhat poetic justice considering Groves refused to give DeGale and Anderson rematches that they totally deserved.

I thought he would too. There were little buzz moments for Groves in the sixth but he was chucking back. He was gassing and Froch was coming on, body work paying off. Groves might have caught a second wind though. Never know.

      That's what sucks.

      We don't know.

      Idiot ref.

"I think I've earned myself a position where I don't have to offer anyone a rematch. - Carl Froch
He seems to be implying by that quote, at least to me. Maybe he's not. And that is true, Groves never did give them rematches they deserved, even though neither were the near the magnitude of the Froch fight.

And what did he say right after that?

"I will fight anybody. Like I said out there, if the fight makes sense I will rematch George Groves".

Yeah that's true. Can't know for sure as likely as it looked.

              Seen fighters survive worse.

Still, I definitely think Groves was in trouble.

Howard Foster's a joke and has been since I can remember. Just look at the stoppage in the Brook-Jackiewicz fight for example that was much earlier than this one.

Something tells me Froch-Groves 2 won't make "sense" to Carl for a little while at least. Maybe he'll prove me wrong and make me eat crow.

No it's just the truth. He's in a position where he doesn't need to offer a rematch to Groves. He won by TKO and fulfilled his mandatory. If a bigger fight comes along, then he's in a position where he can take it. But if Groves is the biggest fight out there for him, then he will take it. His history should show that.

If it makes the most money he will take it.

Froch will fight anybody and he'll definitely rematch Groves.

I'm sure Carl was expecting to stop him if not in that round in the last 3. He has nothing to be afraid of.

One thing i conceded to as of late is that we will never see one of those great comebacks in boxing ever again. It seems everyone who looks hurt now will end up being stop prematurely.
