A rematch is absolutely the right thing to do.
This is how about 99% of the people who watched this fight feel. Groves gave better than what he got. Hope there is a media outcry and Froch is forced to rematch right away.

Think the 2nd fight might be a bit different though, but still Grooves deserves the fight.

Please, he was barely even wobbled. Froch looked worse on many occasions throughout the fight, and was stumbling around off balance a lot with his hands down. 6 unanswered punches? he was throwing back the entire time

i'd love to see it but froch won't need to give him a rematch. wasn't this a mandatory? he has bigger fish to fry. what this will do Is get groves another title shot against another champion. steiglitz or ward maybe...

I would also add that I feel Froch should retire. His speech at the end of the fight sounded punch drunk - reminded me of De Niro's portrayal of Jake LaMotta at the end of his career.
I agree, I want to see Froch retire now. He took ridiculous amount of bombs in that fight and has had so many wars and it's taking it's toll on him. He sounded a bit punchy to me before the Groves fight and he seemed possibly concussed in that post fight interview.
He's 36 years old, has nothing left to achieve and should be sorted for money. Hope this warrior retires now.

Was gutted when I had to miss this one, and can't WAIT to watch it now.

Props to all those who were saying Groves would surprise a lot of folks. I did see a clip of the first round KD, and that was a HARD SHOT.

Have not seen the stoppage yet or remainder of the fight so I am looking forward to seeing the entire fight play out.

            If no rematch, Ward-Groves?

Retire? Why? Cause he didn't look great tonight?
                It happens.

I had groves up 6-2 with an extra point. I thought groves was slowing down & was getting hit cleanly prior to him laying on the ropes & taking those big unanswered bombs. if groves throws back the fight goes on & maybe a standing 8 or a KD. his hands were down & he never threw back. he may have hurt himself by not throwing back& the ref stopped it when he was turning away falling forward

No way -- Ward would wrestle Groves into pieces...
