Ward in beating E-Rod as a LHW has now twice beaten the lineal LHW champ.

Just because he missed the weight doesn't make it a Light Heavyweight fight.I already explained, E-rod was over weight and Ward can weigh whatever he wants as long as he wasn't over 175.
I have no agenda really, it was just an idea, I then did some objective digging and this is what I concluded.
Don't blame me, blame the ABC organizations and E-rod for being a lazy cunt.Comment

No it doesn't.
The fight was a Super Middleweight fight. One of the fighters missed the Super Middleweight limit.
Andre Ward was defending his Super Middleweight title. How on Earth can it be a Light Heavyweight fight whilst defending the Super Middleweight title'?Comment

There can be disputes in a lineage, it's not always clear but you have to have a valid argument, once Frazier beat Ali there was no question. There was confusion at the time just like there is now so don't worry
The HW tornuament crowned the new "Champion" which was Joe Frazier. He was the Heavyweight Champion of the world.
Although, many still considered Ali the "Real" champion because he hadn't been beaten. But Ali actually didn't hold any titles at that time.
So to answer the question, it was Frazier. But people still debate it to this day.Comment

Absolutely.
Despite the dispute at the time, some said Frazier, most considered it Ali, but after the fight everyone knew who it was.Comment

Retiring has always relinquished a lineage, it has never been disputed that Patterson was champion after beating Moore or Schmeling beating Sharkey.Comment

There was no 168lb title defense because E-Rod missed weight and thus fought as a LHW which possibly E-rod unknowingly had a legitimate lineal claim for reasons I have explained at least half a dozen times already and in the OP of the thread.
So regardless of whether Ward made the SMW limit which he could have anyway if he wanted to if this was advertised as a LHW title fight at 168 he beat who should have been recognized as the lineal champion and his win makes him eligible for the lineal claim due to their being no minimum weight limit in boxing.Comment

Yes there was a 168 title defence. Ward defended his Super Middleweight title. Just because one of the fighters missed the weight doesn't mean it's now a fight at the higher weight class. There was no 168lb title defense because E-Rod missed weight and thus fought as a LHW which possibly E-rod unknowingly had a legitimate lineal claim for reasons I have explained at least half a dozen times already and in the OP of the thread.
So regardless of whether Ward made the SMW limit which he could have anyway if he wanted to if this was advertised as a LHW title fight at 168 he beat who should have been recognized as the lineal champion and his win makes him eligible for the lineal claim due to their being no minimum weight limit in boxing.
The only thing was Rodriguez wasn't eligible to win the belt because he missed the weight.
Exactly the same as a fighter losing their title on the scales but the challenger is still competing for the title.
When Broner missed weight against Escobedo, was that a Ligthweight fight? No, it was a Super Featherweight fight and the Super Featherweight title was on the line and if Escobedo won he'd have been the Super Featherweight Champion of the world.
Like I said, how can it be a Light Heavyweight fight when Ward was defending his Super Middleweight title?Comment
