JMM was always more superior than Manny. It was Manny that needed the 4 tries to actually beat Marquez. Too bad his boxing IQ is so low. He may have actually survived the 4th fight. Oh well.. here you go

Manny made JMM is crock of sheeeeet because Juan was the only one who was good enough to compete with Manny all those years that he was in his prime. It was juans skills that got him here and why do we keep talking about what juans record would look like had he not fought Manny? What the *** is this make believe time? Many great fighters had a foil who was nowhere near as accomplished, yet gave them all kinds of trouble repeatedly. Ali had Norton and Frazier, MAB had Jones, RJJ had Tarver. Nobody takes away these guys' accomplishments in hanging with or beating the superior fighter, just putting it into context. JMM doesn't have standout wins except vs Pac, and regularly struggled against good but not elite comp who wouldn't even figure on Pac's resume. He's still HOF even without Pac on his resume, but not 1st ballot IMO, and nowhere near ATG.Comment

4 division world champ? You're counting that vacant interim title he won vs a bum? That's what they mean when they say belts are cheap nowadays. Soto is a 3 division champ or something.
Maybe he would be first ballot, the standards are really low, dunno. How about you, can you give me his 3 best wins after Pac? Would any of them be top 10 wins for Pac? Let me remind you, it's not only who, but also when. So you gotta remember most don't have MAB 2 as a top 10 Pac win, and it was a breeze, unlike JMM's life and death struggle with old MAB 6 months earlier.Comment
