It would be more than interesting cause Lara would win. I knew this fight would never happen. The only way Lara could get Floyd is if he will make a name for himself. After Lara beats Trout I would love to see him get a fight with Canelo. He can start calling out Floyd if he beats Canelo next year.

I don't believe in the triangle theories but when a fighter like Angulo who might be fearsome but is way underskilled hits you and knocks you down and nearly finishes you.....yeah maybe you wont do that good against the number 1 fighter in the world.

Guess Floyd should have no problem dumping that 154 pound belt then? If you are a 147 pound guy, then that's where you should fight.

I would hope so. Don't walk away from 154 but hold on to the belts in case a Victor Ortiz gets a belt and you suddenly want to move up again.

It's not that GBPs is not allowing those fights to take place but rather stating the obvious of those said fights. I.E. boring, they have no draw/star power and nobody outside of die hard boxing fans call on it to happen.

Hell even the Mayweather haters don't even know who these guys are and would start saying Floyd is fighting "no hopers" or guys who never beat anyone etc etc.

It's the truth. Nobody wants these fights especially when Floyd looks his best at 147. At least he mentioned that Floyd would only move up for "big" fights. One can only assume that is Martinez and/or GGG where name recognition and title/Championship belts are on the line. Not some no name mando's in a fight people would bash once it's over anyway.

The fact he mentioned Floyd moving up only for big fights is about the only thing worth taking from the article.

golden boy is doing Lara wrong. Lara should get his shot at Floyd. Golden Boy is wasting Lara talent just like Top Rank is wasting rigondo's talent. they don't want to see Cubans succeed
