Dude, you can't knock out everyone. He has 12 w, 8 KO, a 67% ratio.... Give the man a break!

Everyone who feels that Rigo is boring, please state what exactly is that you want him to do.

The fact rios got the manny fight instead of alvarado, the notion that ruslan should fight JMM or the loser of manny/rios and not the winner, the notion that khan would get floyd before danny garcia or cotto would get a title shot ahead of Trout should be something all of us are against.

I'm all for fighters making money but it should be based on winning.
In a perfect world maybe youre right but if youre style of fighting doesn't sell tickets or get people watching on tv but the next guys style does you are going to make less money than him because you are generating less money. Nobody is going to throw huge purses at somebody and lose money on a fight when they can bring in the guy that sells and turn a profit. It may not be fair but its all about money.

          Correct. It's prize fighting afterall.

Some people dont want to pay to see certain guys. And they dont

Not everybody is an athlete or boxer and can appreciate the genius so blood and guts appeals to more people and it makes them feel like they got their money's worth. They dont HAVE to be more entertaining...but it'll help in bringing in money. Bradley is a special case because of the Pac fight just kind of gave him that stigma...

DOn't disagree that money/profit drives everything. But winning needs to mean something else why have them fight?

In any other sport would we ask the athletes to not use their skills in favor of entertainment?

This is a promoter cop out. Promotional companies are hired by a fighter to find opponents they can perform well against and to market the fight, hoepfully getting a prime TV slot.

There are plenty of "opponents" out their for these kind of fighters. If a promotional team (promoter and matchmaker) be it TR/GBP/K2 /Dibella etc does its job right, these kinds of fighters will be in the kinds of winnable fights that will entertain fans.

How does it help bring in money? For example, Ruslan fought in Mike's hometown. Mike was the draw, not ruslan. If that fight was somewhere else, does it sell as much even though on paper it appears to be entertaining? I think not.

There is no direct causal relationship between excitement and money. If there was, toughman would still be on the air.

personally i dont see how you can call yourself a boxing fan when you dont enjoy boxing in its purest form, what is the very name of the game. but i will leave that for now, what i truly cant comprehend is why those fighters or anyone else should alter their fighting styles for anyone, its their lives, their careers and their health. hence its their choice.

if you dont like it dont tune in, but who are you to tell them to change? dont pretend nobody enjoys watching them fight either because thats just a lie. plenty of ppl appreciate quality boxing and dont want these fighters to change one it.
Your right it there choice and it also my choice to not watch a ward or a rigo (hightly respect rigo tho) or a floyed ...I pay hard earn cash to watch boxing if your an elite fight with the opponent no where near your class.what is he doing going 12 slow boring rounds with you Atleast give is a KO (floyed ward bhop )

I'm not saying slick boxers needs to knock everyone out but most of them doesn't even seem like they want to get the ko, it's like they're happy winning on points. That's the only thing that bothers me, I don't mind watching the slick style but when ur opponent misses make him pay and make him pay hard, don't just tag him once then jumps back and regroup.

Yall claim to not like them because they're too boring right (despite pitching out shutouts) and yall claim that they was too boring right? So lets say they do risk their own health, career, and longevity by fighting like a drunken idiots throwing wild punches, then what? Yall still wouldn't like them and you know how I know that? Timothy fuckin Bradley. That's why. Even after going to war with Ruslan P, he still gets shitted on by yall after schooling, shuting out and almost knocking out Marquez, he still had very minimal fans in attendance, he still didnt get rocognition or even praise when Ruslan went on to beat Alvarado. Infact no one even mentioned Bradley's name after Ruslan beat Alarado.

Yall just want them to fight "exciting" so they can lose.
There is a lot here that can be open for debate. First, the Bradly vs Provodnikov was a very competitive fight and I would not have been mad if they would have taken it away from Bradly. He got his teeth kicked in and I saw at least two times when the ref could have called a stand up count...ropes were keeping him up. Secondly, you are lying to yourself when you say that Bradley almost knocked Marquez out...that's ridiculous. But as for the styles of these slick fighters I enjoy their styles so that's not my issue.
