Froch and Kessler fans are bitter at Ward because he dominated both fairly easy

And Mayweather some people are just in desperation mode when it comes to him at this point they would be happy if someone can knock him down in a losing effort and they would gladly take that Moral Victory and brag about him being knocked down despite winning

If you so desperately want to see these fighter lose then...YEAH you should be campaigning for them to change their style and that is all guys like Lampley and Casual Boxing Fans are doing because they know if those fighters continue to fight that way...The Fighters They Wish To See Defeat Them WILL NEVER HAVE A ***IN CHANCE!

Putting on a Boxing Clinic for 10-12 Rounds is far more impressive than scoring a quick KO because like JMM knocking out Pacquiao people can say "IT WAS LUCKY" but when you take a man soul and break him down emotionally, spiritually and physically neither him and his fans can say anything or make any excuses! I sure don't see Robert Guerrero or Canelo fans calling for a rematch with Mayweather HAHAHA

Very good post. You're spot on

These fighters follow the recipe for winning. Winning is more important than entertaining.

I think most boxing fans can appreciate a technical fighter/slickster but most networks just want excitement. Look at Ward, easily the best in his weight class and the one above but he has no fan base, no big money fights, no networks interested in him.

When big money is involved the tv companies demand entertainment, its not about the sport at all, its about the business and making money through advertising and sponsorship. That's why slick boxers are asked to be more entertaining.

Yall claim to not like them because they're too boring right (despite pitching out shutouts) and yall claim that they was too boring right? So lets say they do risk their own health, career, and longevity by fighting like a drunken idiots throwing wild punches, then what? Yall still wouldn't like them and you know how I know that? Timothy fuckin Bradley. That's why. Even after going to war with Ruslan P, he still gets shitted on by yall after schooling, shuting out and almost knocking out Marquez, he still had very minimal fans in attendance, he still didnt get rocognition or even praise when Ruslan went on to beat Alvarado. Infact no one even mentioned Bradley's name after Ruslan beat Alarado.

Yall just want them to fight "exciting" so they can lose.
Cause they want to be in entertaining fights that will make them money

Why should entertaining brawlers try to fight more slick? They get paid the same as slick fighters (excluding Floyd). And apparently only greats can be slick I thought the name of the game was getting paid.

At the end of the day its prizefighting and there would be no prize fighting without the fans, so to each his own.

As long as a guy is winning they shouldn't change much, fight in the best way possible to win and that is really different for every guy.

Now if a guy is unhappy with the direction of their career they probably should make some changes but if a guy can personally deal with the consequences of why things are the way they are and look themselves in the mirror more power to them.

If someone wants to hear the adjurations of the crown and not care about being able to talk to their grandchildren or enjoy their spoils more power to them or if someone wants to fight is a less crowd pleasing style thus never winning over the crowd and probably not making as much as certain guys over a short period (but probably making that up long run) more power to them, or more power to any variation in between.

That's the only thing that bothers me, I don't mind watching the slick style but when ur opponent misses make him pay and make him pay hard, don't just tag him once then jumps back and regroup.
The thing about "slick" is that 90% of the time you can't tell what they're gonna to do. The impression of "not wanting the KO" as you claim is them playing chess, setting traps, and just studying their opponents. Trust me,they want the K0, but there is a method to them getting it. Their KO aren't, for most part accidental, or lucky. For instance, watch Mayweather vs Hatton. The check hook has been measuring hatton from the begining, we saw Mayweather went to the rope and set it up over and over..why? Because Hatton dips to his left with his right hand down to throw his own left hook.

The way Rigo kept turning Donaire was brilliant, because Donaire kept looking for that left hook. The way he uses his jab to make him reset, make him hesistant and second guess to throw by making him miss and then countering.

The difference between brawlers and boxers (slick) is the difference between action and suspense thriller. One you know what you are getting and the other keeps you at the edge of your seat because it forces you to think. They're both entertaining, but just for different folk with different level of sophistication.
