    3) aint nothin wrong with fighting slick. but at least have some power once in a while to at least hurt someone. not just play tag nd who can get hit the least. you guys are professionals nd this is your job. cmon son, dont tell me i can hit harder than yall fools. cmon son
    4) if slick boxers are gna fight like that accepting the fact they'll be less entertaining. THAN LOWER PPV RATES NOT RAISE THEM

I disagree completely, boxing is not a dead sport. People want to see mayweather fight more any other fighter mostly because he is a trash taller who ALWAYS finds a way to win.
Now how are they bringing boxing down if more people pay to see them fight then the brawlers, also people don't like slick fighters/defensive fighters mainly because they never boxed a real good boxer in their life. Trust me,plenty of people I know talks about mayweather is boring and all he does is run though once I take them to the gym to spar an experience slick fighter they change their perspective on boxing.Trust me, if more people started to do amateur or pro boxing they would respect mayweather skills more.

You can't tell the people who they "should" find entertaining. Face it, blood and guts is more thrilling to watch than hit/run/dodge all night.... the people pay for entertainment, not dancing around.

Those fighters you mentioned are the reason why.

People keep saying boxing is dead and its because of runners and dudes with red k

The people will pay to see the best fighters no matter what style they have. If they hate him they'll pay even more to see him lose. I prefer a style vs style matchup. Boxer vs Brawler, to see what style prevails and I always have my money on the boxer.

no he didnt, it was sheer nonsense. boxing fell off because there stopped being good fights on free tv and in cities that dont have major casinos.

this all happened looooong before the mentioned fighters made their pro debuts. the fact that the two of you have no clue when boxing fell into decline just shows how new you are to boxing.

Usually because the boxer cherry picks said brawler. It's always a specific plodding brawler. It's always funny that there's rarely any boxer vs boxer matchups because the boxers aren't too keen on looking a little foolish against a style they never face.

The answer is nobody should tell fighters how to fight but their trainers/coaches.

However, each boxer has to take what comes with it. If you don't draw people in with how you fight, find another hook (like Mayweather did). If how you fight appeals to the wider audience, then it's your health and career, do what you do.

Those that sit back in their tidy whities believing they could do better should lace 'em up or have respect for those that do. Vote with your wallet or step through the ropes yourself.

i dont care how slick you are, in a sport that is all about punching, i expect to see some punches thrown

and i wouldn't put floyd/ward or even hop in with rigo
floyd throws punches, albiet it's potshots most of the time, he is 36 and he will fight you if you actually manage to hit him
ward is just straight up feather fisted, he tries to fight atleast
                      bhop is old as dirt

rigo seems deathly afraid, he is bordering on the wladimir level, just because someone is trying to counter him he will completely shut off, he has no real answer to it, even against a bum he did it
