Not every fighter has the tools to satisfy out and out bloodlust and forcing them to do it anyway is not good. If a style is executed well, there's room for it.

Wrong!Rigo got thrown under the bus for beating Arum and HBO`s hype-job Donaire. Before Rigo kicked Donaire`s butt,Arum and HBO was not saying Rigo is boring and can`t sell tickets.Rigo was suppose to be a stepping stone for Donaire to go on to greatness, but Donaire wound up being the stepping stone.

There is nothing wrong with that. But promoters and networks shouldn't be telling fighters how to fight. Especially since its been proven that fighters that WIN have financial success over the long term. Floyd and Hopkins are still winning, healthy, making millions and generating ratings and PPV buys.
Well he's fighting on cards of fights I want to see. Rios-Alvarado, Garcia-Juanma, Cotto-Rodriguez and while I wait I watch and get bored. I come on boxingscene and guys are just all over him saying he's the future and I was watching just hoping the fight would end as fast as possible.

That's good but the people in the networks and promoters are fans too and get bored themselves and don't feel like paying millions to be bored. It is what it is. As an HBO exec, they see Crawford getting booed and what does that tell them?? The kid is good but he's not cutting it entertainment wise. Floyd is good but his personality and character is what gets him his fame. Ward is good and won't ever be as big as Floyd cuz he's not outthere that much. Personality wise. Hopkins is making money but not like Floyd cuz he's just great and not outthere as Floyd is with all the money and ***elry and cars etc..... People love that and hate that about Floyd. That's what gets him so much more pub then he normally would get.

I think we can agree Tim didn't box like he should've Bojangles and thats why that fight was close. I think we would also agree that the rematch would mirror other rematches like gatti ward 2 or floyd castillo 2.

Tim will surely box smarter the next time around and then we will see.

Secondly aside from Floyd the biggest stars in the sport although highly skilled were also ****ers. Tyson, srl, Duran, hearns, Hagler, Trinidad, Cotto, gatti, Pacquiao, foreman, liston, Frazier, etc... Ali was a pure boxer but was entertaining to watch. Also if he had the opportunity to go for the kill he took it.
WHy didn't those same brawlers bring in high ratings on other networks? HBO has decided its going to market action. Cool. But the sport is called boxing, not excitement or punching. Fighters who lack skill ultimately have a cieling.

ALi, SRL, Tyson, ODH, and Floyd have been tthe biggest earniners and stars and are all highly skilled. All but Tyson had an Olympic pedigree. None were brawlers. Their foils-duran, pac, hagler cotto, gatti, foreman, liston are all boxer punchers, not brawlers.

Got sent flying across the ring, did a back flip, slurred speech and couldn't walk straight for months.
Funny how the champion emerged as the one in a wheelchair black and blue in one fight and in his next fight was the one who had a concussion, knocked down 3x, and whose speech was slurring. Used to be judges score the loser as the one who were more beat up. Just like school fights.

Easy. Just watch the fights of fighters with styles that you like. You can watch him on YouTube before hand so you don't waste your time and have to suffer through 12 rounds of something you don't like. Or just ask the posters about what kind of style he uses so you don't have to bore yourself to death.

That's good but the people in the networks and promoters are fans too and get bored themselves and don't feel like paying millions to be bored. It is what it is. I haven't heard anything about HBO not wanting to show him again. Arum hasn't come out and said anything either. He's actually being featured on the HBO fall lineup promos. They even want him to headline against Burns in New York City. Don't kid yourself. They aren't blackballing Rigo because of his style. Its because of how big he is, who he just beat and where he was born.

Floyd is good but his personality and character is what gets him his fame. Ward is good and won't ever be as big as Floyd cuz he's not outthere that much.
No. Because Ward hasn't had the success in the ring that Floyd has had. There are plenty of entertaining characters that don't generate $41 million per fight. And even before the De La Hoya fight he was headlining PPV and generating $2-3 million per fight. He's earning what he's earning because of being the best fighter in the world first and foremost and his crossover appeal, second.

Personality wise. Hopkins is making money but not like Floyd cuz he's just great and not outthere as Floyd is with all the money and ***elry and cars etc..... People love that and hate that about Floyd. That's what gets him so much more pub then he normally would get.
Well Ruslan, Kirkland, Angulo, Alvarado, Rios, Matthysse, GGG and whoever else aren't making money like Floyd either. "But PBP, Floyd and Hopkins have had longer careers than them"...OK

Gatti, Ward, Augustus (Burton), Morales, Barrera, Rafa Marquez, Israel Vazquez, Castillo, etc. aren't making money like Floyd either.

But fans financially support action fighters, huh? They want to see entertaining fights.? If that's the case than shouldn't the highest earners in the sport be all out action fighters? Isn't fan interest measured by ratings and ticket sales?

Pac, Cotto and other fighters that you consider exciting have had financial success too, but they have had success IN THE RING to go along with their styles.

Anybody's who knows anything about boxing knows what the blueprint to beat a style like Provodnikovs' and how it would play an advantage to certain style of fighters skillset, Floyd for example.

And anybody who knows anything about boxing also knows it's not rocket science to understand that on any given night by successfully cutting off the ring, the "no skilled brawler" can also create an opportunity for himself

Actually IMO the "no skilled brawler" who can punch has more of a chance against a highly skilled defensive wizard then the LESS skilled, feather fisted "boxer" I.e Paulie

Can Ruslan fight in multiple ways if he had to? If Ruslan found himself like Gatti did when he was in with Ward-a guy who was "out brawling" him-could Ruslan change it up and box to a victory like gatt did.

I think the answer is no, thats the problem. World class fighters like Matthysse and Nonito have their train derailed because they couldn't make simple adjustments. Their toughness can take them only so far.

Its not that causal fans dont understand or appreciate the slick style of boxing that most of these black fighters are gifted with. Its the fact that if your gonna just score on points then u better not be charging us $60+ to see that shiiet!
