Rigo is hardly boring. He's an artist in the ring. Seems to me, Bob just wants him to lose. Even if Arum believes his own words, he should bite his tongue and do his job of promoting. Period.

Of course he does.....he cares that they show up in droves, fill the seats, and don't boo. It means more money to him.

That's why he's pushing for Terrance Crawford to headline a title fight at MSG. He wants huge crowds and no boos.

But it is what it is. He has an HBO date against a game opponent, despite all this bull****. Just time to wait and see what happens.
Gotcha. The thing is, these Arum's statements are read by an insignificant number of people, only hard core fans. The casual viewer goes with what they see in the ring, though a big hype machine can help get them tuning in. The comments were clearly directed at Rigo, who's a prideful character: won't move up, won't alter style, want big money, wants 12 week camp. He's got lots of reasons for pride, but he also has a lot working against him, so gotta be a bit flexible

That makes ZERO sense. Bob does not want him to lose, he wants him to be as exciting as Donaire, create excitement, and fill the seats. Bob is just bouncing off what HBO said about Rigo and that means lost revenue for Bob.

People & their "fan friendly" stigma. Why don't you climb your ass in the ring & stand on a dime. Maybe there's a chance of some damn sense being knocked into you.

Terrance Crawford is in the same place Rigo was when he was booed against Rico Ramos. If Crawford gets booed again, like Rigo did against Donaire, it isn't Bob who has the say so, it is the TV networks. Bob will then do what he is trying to do with Rigo and has probably already told Crawford he needs to put on more of a show.
