I want Arum to be more fighter friendly. He's a disgrace to the sport and he thinks he can walk around telling one of the best p4p fighters out there what to do. Scumbag Arum is the most deluded man in boxing.

HBO calls Crawford the "best lightweight", deflected the blame on the lack of action to the "awkwardness of Klimov" and are clearly interested in having him back on the network. He was even featured in their fall lineup promos.

Rigo has taken 100% of the blame for the lack of action in the Donaire fight (Harold Lederman got on Donaire which I will acknowledge) because he has less fans and generates less money than Donaire.

HBO for years has showcased Chad Dawson, Devon Alexander, Andre Ward and Bernard Hopkins and not once threatened to blackball any of them.
True, but there was little competition and a different person running things.

Herschman seems to have decided he is going to work with TR exclusively and market "action" fights to win the ratings war and maintain HBO's position as best boxing network. I just don't know how that is going to be achieved if you don't highlight the best fighters.

At some point, people could think they are getting a more polished version of toughman, which was hot for a minute but died rather quickly.

Maybe he should try his luck with 50 Cent. I hear Schaefer loves Cuban talent

Golden Boy Promotions CEO, Richard Schaefer, admits that junior middleweight contender Erislandy Lara (18-1, 12KOs), because of his style is a tough sell for the fans and the cable networks. On Saturday night at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California - Lara survived two knockdowns to stop fan favorite Alfredo Angulo in the tenth round after one of his punches potentally broke Angulo orbital bone of his left eye. The win was impressive, but Lara - like his talented Cuban counterparts Yuriorkis Gamboa and Guillermo Rigondeaux, present a technical style of boxing that most fight fans do not appreciate.

Not buying it at all. What type of promoter goes around criticizing his own investments, especially in the open press? If HBO isn't the place for Rigo, there are other networks that would showcase his talents.

See post above, promoter criticizing his own fighter after his most exciting win. And also taking the time to criticize Rigo and even Gamboa for unexciting styles

Arum needs to let the guy go. Let his contract expire and let him do whatever he wants.

arum could careless about his fighters. he just wants the money. how could anyone work for a promoter that says **** like this? one of the best amateurs of all time, won a legit world title in his 7th fight and unified the division in 12. and you have the audacity to tell him to be more fan friendly? why don't you be a better promoter and sell the fighter, why don't hbo and promoters sell good boxers instead of just tricking the public in believing the only aspect of boxing is brawls. save that **** for mma.

Hopefully Rigo gets out of his contract with Top Rank. It seems that Arum put a lot of stock and $$$ on signing Rigondeaux. I think he is mad that Rigo is almost out of his contract and he's trying to make the most $$ out of him before he jumps the Top Rank ship. Rigo could of easily fought on the Top Rank PPV but Arum won't break even and lose Rigo.

I want Rigo to sign with Golden Boy and fight Santa Cruz, that would be a great fight and it won't be boring at all.

                  WAR RIGO!!!!

You should get a job as head of HBO boxing. Let us know how it goes

Then you would agree that its not about his style. Its because he's Cuban, small and doesn't speak English. Since fighters with much less fan friendly styles have continued to get coverage.
