Duran was praising Leaonard after the fight. Saying he's the best and that he wants to retire now. Then he went on to say, no I quit because he was acting like a clown. Duran quit because he thought the fight was going to go like the 1st, he didn't like that Sugar made an adjustment and instead of trying to overcome it, he quit a fight that he was already losing.

True Storey, Duran came for a Fist Fight,
and wanted nothing to do with a Track Meet!!!

I've been looking forward to this for a while now. I don't think it'll provide any good insight into the fight but it'll be good to hear from both sides.

BTW, My pops said it was menstrual cramps.

The no mas was Duran quitting. Period. No different from Golota quitting against Tyson. If Leonard had quit you wouldn't be so forgiving.

There is no excuse for quitting because the fight is not going the way you want or need it to go.

At the time, Roberto was an Outcast, in Panama, but went on to
The Davey Moore, and Barkley fights that brought him titles at JMW,
and MW. Now their naming Suburbs, and Arenas after Him, and He
and Sugar Ray Leonard are good Friends. He now has a Bar/Restaurant
in Pan City, and their making a Movie, where in part, I understand, He'll
Play himself, with Robert Di Niro, as Ray Arcel..Saw him recently, and he
looks Great like he could still deal with some of today's Pretenders...

The actual quote is "I am not fighting this clown" Leonard was not giving him anything solid to hit with his dance moves. He caught Duran right after the first fight and Duran did not train properly. He subsequently could not keep weight off after blowing up from LW. Duran thought he had won the Lottery; meaning he only had to hit it once. He was not interested in boasting a resume. Just being the man with the biggest cajones.

Not sure why this is so hard for people to understand.

i've seen other 30 for 30's and this one looks to be just compelling as the others, must see
