That is not what I'm saying. Floyd has a contract to fight about 6 fights on Showtime. So what was the rush to fight Canelo in 2013? It could have easily happened next year IF Canelo beat some worthy opponents and improved by fixing his weaknesses or at least improving.

How can you expect an inexperienced flat-footed fighter with a low work-rate and gets easily tired to beat Floyd? Outbox Floyd?

When reporters said "Canelo may plan to move in on Floyd and put pressure". Floyd Sr was laughing and said "We are hoping for that because Canelo gets easily tired"

Canelo has the right flaws that Floyd could have taken advantage of. Ellerbe said so and said "we know of many weaknesses of Canelo and Floyd will take full advantage of them. We are fully aware and I approve this fight ...."

Now you are talking about something else. Money fight or taking on the riskier fights. If it was all about money, OK Canelo was your guy, no problem BUT then don't come back and try to tell me that it was the riskier fight because that is what I'm talking about!

Still, Manny was going to be bigger but Floyd preferred, taking vacations, fighting others and putting roadblocks. Why not Manny? The reason is that part of the formula to get Floyd and Ellerbe to approve is not just money. It must be combined with low risk!

Also, why didn't Floyd even return calls on other threats that were not part of Top Rank? Sergio Martinez, P Williams and other called Floyd out but not even a peep from Floyd. Again, neither was part of TR!

So how was this different than when Roach said that he saw Margarito's last fight and knew about his weaknesses prior the Pacquiao-Margarito bout? It's matchmaking 101. Team Pacquiao cheery pick tailor made fights the same way Floyd does.

What makes you think that he wouldn't have these exact flaws had Floyd fought him a year later?
