I just makes me sad that so called boxing fans can't appreciate something they like likely won't see for another couple decades if at all.

Floyd Mayweather Jr's are not common in the sport so you should try to understand why he is on the level he is on so you can judge other guys.

I except garbage like this out of casual fans who I don't expect to get the finer parts of the sport but on a boxing message board these are suppose to be hardcore fans to see such ignorance en masse is saddening.

What makes me sad is that instead of his fans demanding that their fighter fight the best fighter out there, it has to be the so called "haters" who always demand it ...... but the true fact is that those supposed "haters" have it right while the fans (of Floyd) would say anything to protect Floyd and who he hand selected as a fighter.

First off, Mayweather was not option one. He wasn't option one because Pacquiao had just lost a highly dubious decision to Tim Bradley. Pacquiao deserved that decision but it was a far from impressive performance (as were his ones against Mosley and Marquez). Mayweather at this point was slipping away. Arum, ran into the ring and hugged Bradley when the decision was announced, then on the other side of his face, berates the judges. Pacquiao doesn't look to immediately put that right because supposedly there was no money in it (and I thought was Mayweather who only cared about money). THAT right there was option one, but it didn't pay enough. Then it was onto a fighter Pacquiao already destroyed. Only Cotto would go for the catchweight again. THAT was option two. Marquez was option three and blew up in their faces. Fights 1, 2 and 3 had nothing to do with fight 4 being made. Money and failed catchweight offers are. Pacquiao is the one that has a habit of fighting opponents who've lost or are in poor form and he's doing it again. Yet, because Mayweather is winning and doing it the best way he knows how, he's getting flamed?

He may not seek blood or happily give it, but I'd like to know how many of those demanding it went to visit Gerald McLellan or even know how he is. Someone was full of praise for Rafa Marquez and Israel Vasquez, but couldn't tell me how they are now, or what they're doing these days. Like they cared after they got their money's worth.

Hmmm we both had Marquez as option #3 and as I said before, so what?

Floyd is doing it by trying to fight fights where he gets paid well (reward) with a relatively low risk. If boxing fans like you prefer that and make him get away with it each time, well it will make Floyd rich and happy and at the end of the day, that is really what he cares about ...... but as a boxing fan, I would prefer that he fights the best out there

but we know the truth. Floyd fans can't admit to that though even though Floyd has been interviewed many times and said it right to your face but some of you Floyd fans pretend it never happened and defend at all costs.

When Manny was going to fight Marquez #3 at WW or OLD Mosley or possibly Cotto 2 I went out and questioned those fights. I would prefer if Manny would challenge himself in every fight. So if I expect that from Manny then why should I not expect the same from Floyd? So yes, I practice what I preach!

As for Manny vs Floyd, I don't go saying that Manny better not give in to Floyd's demands. All I wanted was to see the fight because their money is NOT going into my pocket but I sure love to see a competitive fight. BUT when I see Manny agreeing to the testing and ALL OF US thought that there is NOTHING in the way and it's a GO then Floyd comes out and says "By the way, Manny agreed to testing but I'm putting out another roadblock that you haven't heard yet"

Floyd fans should have said, "Floyd YOU SAID, Manny TAKE the test and WE HAVE A FIGHT!" ..... "Now lets see the fight!"

instead they just defend all of Floyd's actions.

Cut the crap Floyd,Manny the Klits all those top fighters hand select who they are fighting because they have the power to. None of them rarely face a mandatory. Difference is you don't want Floyd to fight the best comp you want him to fight somebody who's a guranteed loss at a weightclass 2-3 division higher.
